I got a leter back yesterday that said "you are now on the waiting list, we will contact you when we need to go further with the application." Which basically means giving them a paycheck stub or two.
I AM SOOO happy about that. I'm hoping it's sooner rather then later. Usually turnovers for apartments are in January, I don't see where it'd be any different with a section 8 apartment.
I also plan to get the moped out in January if I can, or at the very latest February. I"ll have the money as I don't plan to spend it.

Well, things are going smoothly aren't they? I am soooo happy for you. One step closer to the prize. Yahoo! So you will have the moped about the same time as the apartment. How cool. Great way to start out the new year. Sooner rather than greater is always good. Hehe

I am not sure I'll have the apartment at the same time, but I can only hope. I'm a bit confused as to when I need to start "packing". I've got so much stuff that could be packed away now. If I had the extra money I'd pack it away and put it in a small little storage building already but those can be a bit pricy and I need to save too.

I would just start packing things you aren't using and put a stack of boxes where they will be out of the way. Just tell people you are in the pocess of moving. Alittle bit done now can help you alot later. You might want to put on the boxes what is in each or you could think you lost something.

I'll soon be asking for boxes at work, maybe ask for two days off in a row as well, of coruse that asking for two days off in a row will have to wait until after christmas... and then just start packing up things.

Congratulations!
I think your new year has already started out great even if we haven't gone to it yet! It'll be great to check that off your list, and to start to look forward to a better 2012!
Goodluck!

I think it is great that you are on the list for housing. I wish you the best. I hope you get a nice place that will be closer to your work. I hope you do get your moped so you can travel around easier.

Kudus, my friend, you're on your way to a new start. It's always nice to move at or close to the beginning of the year. I'm excited for you because I know the feeling. I've moved many times before. Some may think that it's a hassle, but for me, it's fun, arranging and decorating, following some feng shui suggestions. The best of luck and most of all, God's generous blessings for you, SomeCowgirl!

I feel there is a need to move out somewhere from our old new routines and places. I wish that I would be able to find a new rental room, because I felt bored to stay in the same place for very long time. I was happy you got the approval letter for new apartment. You deserved to get what you really wanted to get. Just enjoy and be happy forever.

Yeah, I felt the same feeling when a company texted me that I'm wait-listed as one of the potential hires. One day they told me to come only to say that I didn't make it. Different circumstances, though, so I'm happy for you on this one.

I know most people hate to move & I admit it is a lot of work, but it's also very exciting starting over in a new home. I love arranging my things in new places & decorating everything just the way I like it. It's a fresh start where we can start over & begin again.
