I reay love this movie- i is actually few of the gore and monster-ish/cannibalistic movies I really like. The characters were likable, the story was good, it was pretty scary and thrilling and there were parts which had good drama too. I love how they got back at the killers- it was quite unexpected. And it had a lot of morals too- that people shouldn't test nuclear weapons ad hazardous stuff which ca definitely harm others, and people shouldn't harm or eat otehrs since they will meet their doom, really horrible doom in the end- if they don't make it in the sequel..

I'm not really fond of horror movies but I guess this one is not one of them. I think this film is about survival. The human victims of nuclear testings that becomes violent savages ready to attack their victims to survive.

Yeah, we learn a lot of things in this movie. One of them is not to test dangerous chemicals and nuclear warheads and the like since it really does damage, not only to the place but every living thing there..

not only they became savages, they were also inbred too, I think its inspired from a certain Urban legend. This is the most unique horror movie for me cos they have a cast of characters you dont want to die,Unlike the other horror movies out there, The moment you see the characters, you want them to die. Its a remake only though,in the original, the cannibals are not inbred nuclear explosion victims, in the original the killers are tribes that lives on the dessert.

Yeah, this movie shows us the effects of what could happen if the present modern warfare will be used today. I just hope this won't happen in reality.

It does make you think. During the horror movies of Halloween i watched The Hills Have Eyes about a half dozen times. I think it is very thought provoking. I think this is a classic. this one and Thrty Days of Night is a good one too. I am a vampire fan and enjoyed this one. Sequeal on boths were a waste of time.

I haven't watched the sequel of 30 days of night though- I won't bother since Josh Hatnett. But the sequel of Hills Have Eyes was okay. I didn't really lie the ones who survived though- it was too obvious.

1 ofthe best horror movies I watched,Unlike the typical horror films, we dont have deliquent teenagers, we have a very likable all American family. Its a cast of characters were you dont want someone to die., The killers in this movies are actually victims of Nuclear weapons testing. it gave them mutation and also they were inbreds too. Basically it use to be a nice town, they use to be normal people but they became victims of the radiation, they got brain damage and physically mutated. they hide from civilization cos of their deformities and they were 2nd generation of inbred people. They became cannibals due to hunger and desperation for food. they cant grow crops because of the radiation.

I haven't heard of a part 3, it would be nice if they brought some of the old cast back.. I have not seen the old one though- some say the new one is better.. I like Wes Craven's other works, like the 70s and 80s Nightmare on Elm Street.

I watched this movie when I was like 13 and it scared me so much I couldn't sleep for like 4 nights. I then started to love the movie a lot! I really did love the characters and how they got back at the cannibals. I hated the scene where the father got burnt alive. But the girl who was part of the cannibals, she was epic! She sacrificed her life to save the boy. At first I thought they were monsters attacking the family but actually actual people who have been distorted by nuclear testing. But I don't get why there was a need to eat people. It was so creepy and gross. I actually showed it to my friends and they couldn't stop screaming and hiding behind each other! I was just laughing at them. I hated the ending though, I wanted them to live! Or maybe they did? The ending was really ambiguous. I was really excited for hills have eyes too but it was kind of a disappointment. I watched the beginning and the characters weren't as likable as the first film. It was all about rape and that was kinda disturbing and gross.

I think Hills have eyes and Wrong turn have the same concept and storyline, but to balance the two and conclude the best out of these i would go for Hills have eyes.

Yeah, they do have the same concept but The Hills Have Eyes had it first I guess, since this is a remake of the old film... I agree with you too, HHE is better than Wrong Turn, although that movie was also fun to watch.

Yeah, I like to watch movies about survival and stuff so I may also learn what to do when I am in a similar situation.. But when it's cannibalism or zombie attack, I would just give up than try my best to survive..

I also like watching horror movies, although I get easily scared- I enjoy them sometimes.. it's what I love about this movie, some parts were definitely unexpected, especially when the dad fought the monsters.

Yeah there were monsters but not like scary hairy monsters eating people with big teeth. They were pretty much deformed people who were affected by the nuclear exposure and they turned cannibalistic.

Where did the female monster come from? It's actually about a family stranded in the middle of a deserted mind field and all these cannibals came and ate them all, well most of then anyway. It's pretty gross and gory and really creepy!

I cannot remember most of the scenes as I have seen a lot of horror movies in the past. But I surely know that I have seen this movie, my mom has a DVD of this and made me watch it. She's a horror fanatic.

Yeah, it one of the best horror films I guess- for me, although i can't really clarify it as horror since there aren't any ghosts.. maybe this will just qualify as gore or thriller.
12 Dec 11
I think you could post about better horror films because there is some unbelieveable actions in the movie Hills Have Eyes.

Yup! It has a similarity of the movie Wrong Turn, a suspense thriller and just heart-throbbing.

Yeah, those two movies were always compared with each other- like who's better in acting or story. But This movie is a remake though... And I like this one better, definitely better acting and villains were more convincing.
