Champions League Draw

The draw will take place this coming Friday. The group winners will pair with one of the second place team. The team cannot be from the same association or in the same group in the earlier stage. Looking at both pot, which it the match up you like to see most? While there is no such thing as weak team in the latter stage, as a Gunners fan, I would like them to pair upo with Lyon or Zenit St Petersburg. What is yours? Group winners: Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Benfica, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal, APOEL Nicosia, Barcelona Group runners-up: Napoli, CSKA Moscow, Basel, Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen, Marseille, Zenit St Petersburg, AC Milan

I think as a gunner fan you could be relaxed, because gunners could eliminate all of the teams in runners up stage.

i think it`s not wise when you underestimate the runner up team.. if Arsenal must face Milan, what is your opinion?? basel had shown to us that it`s not good and wise when a bigger team never give respect to the "weaker" team..

I think Arsenal could beat Milan, if you are the real fan of Arsenal you should trust your team.

I hope you don't mind but was the game between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona last December 10 part of this Champions League matches? And who is this Barcelona you are talking here? Is this FC Barcelona? I'm sorry I'm not sure if there are other teams besides FC Barcelona with "Barcelona" as its name.

No, the past Real Madrid vs Barcelona match is from the Spanish Primera League or La Liga. And yes, Barcelona and FC Barcelona are the same. When we are discussing soccer, we usually just call them Barcelona, not FC Barcelona.

I would myself love to see that. I would not mind CSKA as well. I think from the Winners group whoever picks up AC Milan would be in trouble. Just as a pure romantic, I would hope APOEL gets one of lesser team as reward for topping their group. Cheers! Ram

iam waiting too this drawing it`s interesting because maybe we can see AC milan versus Bayern Munchen or AC MILAN versus Inter Milan or AC Milan versus Real madrid.. oh My God... it`s terrible for AC Milan..thats why barcelona is lucky because they maybe get many weaker team even we can say that this is the best of 16 teams...

AC Milan cannot be drawn with Inter Milan. They are from the same association. Likewise, Barcelona is out because they faced each other during the group stage. The worst case scenario is either Bayern Munich or Real Madrid.
