While I am alone in our house and typing my discussions and responses here at mylot, I don’t have any music playing here but I can here Christmas song playing outside. Yes, it’s the holiday season and almost everyone especially the kids are excited for Christmas. My brother even bought a local Christmas CD, he let me use it and I listened to it once but I never played it again. It’s not that I didn’t want it, actually the songs are beautiful but I just want to be quiet when I want to concentrate on what I do. How about you, do you play Christmas songs in your house or office right now? Will you continue to play it until the end of the season?

Hi red! I have not played any Christmas songs since December started. I do not even have any Christmas song in my computer. I get my dose of Christmas songs from outside sources, just like you, from neighbors, from officemates, from the TV, anywhere but my computer. I guess I think I don't have any reason to download them or buy CDs of them since I can hear them everywhere I go.

Hello Red_amethyst! Yes I do play Christmas song a lot. These songs brighten up my day and make me reminisce my childhood and my life in the past that I always cherish. Definitely, I will continue playing these songs up to the end of the season. Aside from they refresh me of my childhood memory, they give me time to reflect on the fact and the reality of God's love to us by sending His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to the world.

We dun celebrate christmas at home. The only festival we celebrate with songs, would be Chinese new year.. haha However we are not the only ones because even i'm out in the malls, i dun hear christmas songs being played, unlike the past few years when christmas is a big event. Though i see a lot of people spending, buying gifts, but somehow it doesn't have the christmas feel

Christmas songs rather are a necessary part of the season. And there are times where I have played them all throughout the year, because of the mood struck me. Most to the horror of people nearby who have the utterly wrong opinion that Christmas music should not be played in the middle of May. I don't get some people sometimes, I really don't. ;) I tend to play Christmas music pretty much nonstop during the season. In fact, I am listening to the radio as Christmas music is really playing right now. Music does help me focus and it is really going to be something that gives me motivation and purpose, getting the words flowing as I write. Something that puts a smile right on my face. There is no time I feel where Christmas music isn't appropriate.

So long as it is the holidays, yes, go ahead. But I have a neighbor now who plays it even when it is summer. Something is wrong here.

I love Christmas songs a lot. They make me remember when I was a young girl and when everything seemed to be perfect and happy. I always remember my Mom. She always takes us to the mall and buys us stuffs. We go to the church and I can pretty sure those are the most memorable times of my life. I want my child to also experience the same thing. I want to always remember happy moments. When she was a baby I always turn on the CD player for her to hear Christmas awake or sleeping.

I am right now, but that's because I am really trying to win money on this one radio station, and I could really use the cash right now because I have so many bills that I have to pay off. I will listen to Christmas music for as long as I have to until I get some of that money.

I don't play music when I am working on-line, especially when I am writing as I like to think about what I am writing. Xmas songs, are OK but they are repeated over and over again and they are mostly songs that I have heard so many times at this time of year. I am not a great lover of Xmas anyway, because it holds bad memories of bereavement for me, and in my opinion, it is really for the kids to enjoy and there are none in our house. My wife likes it though, and we have our special meal and it is all very relaxing. _Derek

I love Christmas songs and I start playing them early in the season. I have Christmas carols in English and Villancicos in Spanish, my native language. I also sing Christmas songs while in the shower (somehow I feel free to sing while showering). The carol I love best is "Joy to the world..." I think that it has grasped all the Christmas spirit

When I was a kid, I am very excited about to hear traditional Christmas carols and jingles but as I grow old, I lose my excitement with them but I what I want are the modern Christmas songs by modern artist. I also love Mariah Carey's All I want for Christmas is You

Hi red-amethyst, I love listening to Christmas music during the holiday season...I even like to listen to the not so popular christmas music by whomever... On Christmas morning as my family gather around the Christmas tree getting ready to open presents, right before we start we all say a bible verse and then turn on a local television channel here that has the yuletide fireplace log on the screen and only plays christmas music for hours... I think the Christmas season is good for my family until New Years so music is continued until that time. have a wonderful holiday!!!!!

I still play Christmas song as and when I am driving as it's now in the season and mood for it. I recently bought another Christmas CD to be played while I am driving (the only time I listened to my player) just to have a feel of the season's mood. It's kind of an important element for me in playing Christmas song when the festive is round the corner

I have the radio station that plays nonstop christmas set in my classroom(I do not play it when children are in the room, but before and after school, along with my plan time) I play them. I also have them in my car. As soon as christmas is over so are the songs, so I get them in while I can.

I love playing Christmas songs in our house and office, but my children is fond of watching television or playing computer games, so I don't have choice but not to turn the radio on. But if I have a chance, I do play it. I can feel the holiday season much more if I listen with them. =)
