Slow internet connection!! Enough is enough!

One of my pet peeves when I am in the office is the slow internet connection. Well, of course, aside from the fact that they block a lot of sites...
Instead of being able to work on my lectures during my free time, I can't do so because of a very bad internet connection. It's either the system is not working well which causes the connection to slow down, or there is no internet connection at all. Oh! For crying out loud, this is a university and it should cater to the internet needs of the students, the teachers, as well as its staff!

Hi there dear.
Why don't you complain this to your university administration. They should sort out this problem. Or may be your university have a lot of student who uses internet connection. This also slow down the internet speed.
Its boring having a low internet connection. But some times its better then having no internet connection. You can just check your emails. Anyhow its disgusting having a low internet connection all the time. Well that was time when I could not afford broad band internet connection I used to chat with my friends via mig33 only no other activities. But Now i have my wireless broadband internet connection which is 99% faster than my mobile net connection.

Well, many of my colleagues have actually brought this matter to the admin's attention. I sure hope that they will be able to sort things out for us.

That's awful my college also had bad connection speeds, I was wondering if it was because of how many students and staff were using the Internet and not enough servers to manage them all at once. I usually just used my mobile for notes and reminders it was a lot smoother.

Considering that they are aware of the population and the specs of their system, they should do something about it. By doing so, they will be able to satisfy the needs of their people and their clients.

i agree with you 100%! nothing can be as frustrating as having a slow internet connection. anyway, i do hope this is sorted out for you there in the university that you work at.

I do not know why now-a-days the Internet is so slow, in India. I cannot answer to many questions in a hour

In our school also we have the same problem. Their is a wifi or internet. And it is already included in the fees of the students. We can't really enjoy the benefit of it because the internet connection is like a turtle. It is very slow. The internet pages loads very slow.

That would get on my last nerve too. I used to have dialup and that was very slow. I recently got dsl and I love it.
