How Should I Go About Working From Inside My Dorm?

I know that sounds silly, but you know the whole saying 'working from home?' Well, I want to work from my dorm! The only reason I'm asking is because I've been searching for on campus jobs and found none. (I'm transferring to a four year college where I'll be living in a dorm in January). And due to my vision, I am not able to drive, so I can't get a job off campus.
So, now since you know my situation, anyone have any legitimate online sites which I can complete from the safety of my dorm? I remember a few people here had blogs and stuff, but the one I used to go to isn't there anymore! I remember that Diana had recommended me to her....

I've been getting by on online surveys (not the type you pay for.) One site where I get paid $10.00 a month is Capella University. The best sites I can think of are online tutoring sites like Brainfuse. You need a Bachelors degree to work for Online Scoring sites like Pearson and American Testing Service where I work. SlicethePie seems to be another very good site where they pay you to critique potential record artists.

I actually currently use SliceThePie. What kind of survey sites do you like to use? And I'll get my Bachelor's degree in about 1 1/2 more years, so I'll keep those sites in mind if I can't find a teaching job near where I live!

I kinda forgot. I strongly think it was through Survey Savvy. Survey Savvy pays money but it's hard to get into the surveys. I think I did a survey with them and then took a survey about my interest in Capella.

I do my best on survey sites, vindale, opinion outpost, valued opinions, mysurvey, swagbucks and a few others....

I don't know if you have any transcription experience but, if you do, you could try an online company called "SpeakWrite.com". I worked for them for several years doing online legal transcription. They pay per keystroke so, of course, the faster you type, the more you get paid. I was averaging around $14.00 per hour so it wasn't bad, especially since I had no transportation costs and didn't have to have separate "work clothes". The only thing I needed for this was a footpedal, which I had to pay for, but it was well worth the money ($70 at the time).
I'm sure they're not the only general or legal transcription companies out there. There are tons of medical transcription companies online but they generally require you to have gone through a medical terminology class.

You might still find something you can do to make some extra money. Maybe someone will need some tutoring. I have never lived in a dorm. Hope it is good living. Use your imagination in seeking work. You just never know what you might come across. It could prove interesting.
