special couch for watching tv

I am looking to buy a couch or sofa for watching television. I came across with different models when I visit the mall today. I have seen one model complete with glass holder on the right side, well I am worried will gain weight if buy something like this since I would watch television while drinking and eating more frequently. The other idea is just like sofa bed, so it can turn to bed if we need to. It seems comfortable and can be multi function if there's visitor coming they can sleep there as well..How about you? Which kind of preference to buy special couch or sofa to watch television? Any special things to consider?

I bought entertainment chairs with glass holders. Its been great when I want to relax and enjoy television viewing. They were expensive, but worth the money. We don't eat or drink more, then before, but no more spilled drinks.
