KIDS! Yes, kids! They have simple wishes. So, small gifts and simple things make them happy. This is a season of giving and receiving gifts. And kids are excited for gifts they're gonna received. For godfather/s and godmother/s out there. I am sure you're having busy time buying toys and other things for your godkids. Did any of your little ones ask for a house and lot,a sports car,a mansion? I am sure they did....and you can give them a toy instead HAPPY HOLIDAY EVERYONE jaiho®- Expecting gifts too,but not kiddie things (^_*) 12/18/2011 1:04pm Sunday

Hi di I have been asking for only Chocos and Candies... yet no one cares Never Mind, I have my friends here and also my loving di who will gift me all my chocos and candies... I read about some flood in Phillipines and was starting to worry about my friends there. Your discussion relieves me of some worries

Sorry to play the spoiled sport di. But I was worried when I read the news in the papers a few hours ago. and seeing you and some more friends here, really relieved me. Well I think after a while, you can donate some of the old clothes or even woolens (if it is winter this time at your place) for the needy... or even volunteer your services for some small work for them...

I understand that very well. We had one bigg one in 1999 which devastated many villages. Then there was one Tsunami in 2004 and that wiped out a few of the communities... Natural disasters are proof that we humans are nothing when it comes to Lord - no matter how advanced we might call ourselves. So many years after the 1999 one (as I witnessed this one live and also was a part of some charity work), even today millions from these affected areas feel scared when they see sea waters

Natural disasters are proof that we humans are nothing when it comes to Lord - no matter how advanced we might call ourselves True. There is no rich or poor when natural disaster decides to hit us too. I've experienced evacuating our house before, that was one scary event I remember until now. My younger brother is so small that time and he even wanted to walk on the flood, as a small kid he thinks he can play on the water. While me, elder bro and parents finds it really hard to walk in that big flood, Flying roofs are there too. Good thing we reached safely into my dad's parents home.

Yes. That is the speciality of children. They will feel happy with chocolates, toys. I buy small plastic balls for neighbour's kids. they enjoy playing cricket with the balls. My next favourite gift is small car toys. They do not cost much but they move swiftly.

who said kids do ask for small things, parents really do a lot of their effort to give happiness to their children however kids do not even understand what effort is put on to get the lovely things for them. They just break off the toys which cost a lot,and do be very irresponsible sometimes when they get books or other things which their parents do gift them. Kids are to be taken once a while to orphanages or places where there are kids who do not have parents and no one to care for them.Such kids really ask for little needs which they do not even get. Kids are to be taught the right way and have right responsibility to wards what they ask and how they manage and use the gifts. Gifts give a wonderful feeling when presented to anyone. However the gift or present should be in such a way that it makes a sense and is worth.Which can be a memory through out the life time.

hello uma, Sorry to hear about those kids who are naughty and never knows how to value things. Yes, there are kids who destroy toys and throw other things - they do not know the value of it (they're kids right) It is the parents responsibility to introduce to those kids the value/worth of everything.

Kids are kids, what ever parents say they just like to do opposite. Some do follow some like to do it other way and prove themselves.Even no one likes suggestions and we too become kids some times when our elders say somethign to us and we do not listen to their advice, very often such things happen in families.

I have been asking for the 6 winning lottery numbers for years, and I have never gotten them. But my kids do ask for some big things, no, not cars, mansions or houses. But some of the toys they want are not cheap. But I think I got everything they wanted this year.

hello inertia, Well "Toy's R Us" store don't sell cheap items especially here in my country. Toys from that store only meant for higher class family. So, even toys depends on it's prizes- but at least, they never ask for bigger ones this time. Happy Holiday

Well, my kids wanted Apple iPhones and Apple iPads for christmas. I basically said no. No this year, I told them maybe next year if it's possible. Now, those items are not cheap. I understand why they want them. And after all, the iPad would be a great tool for them when it comes to school. But I just could not swing it this year.

Hi jaiho: It's so beautiful when you see a little one happy after receiving a nice gift. Unfortunetly, our commercial societies have taught even the little ones that they should ask the most expensive toys to enjoy chritsmas, something which is completely wrong. ALVARO

Don't have any children, but I have younger cousins. They like hot wheels cars, which isn't anything that is too elaborate. I'm sure there are some greedy ones out there, but really, I think that is a product of their environment in many cases. Of course, there are a lot of times where adults can take a lot of cues from their children with getting more than simple pleasures. The simple pleasures are one of the best things in life. There are just going to be a lot of times where they enjoy some rather simple things. Like boxes for instance. There are just going to be a lot of joy in their eyes and children are a sight to behold. Sadly, their ambitions are going to get higher, for the good and for the bad as they get older.

hello megamatt, My 2 sond had given their matchboxes to their little cousins now. I only left few as collection and also to remind me of their childhood days. Yah, some kids are greedy and we need to understand them. So sad really when those kid turns greediness into obsession as they grow up.

Yeah they just ask simple things this season and sometimes it doesn't matter to them what the gift is but what important is that they received gifts from someone, and they are happy when they receive gifts whatever it is.But there are also kids now that are choosy to and picky on what they wanted to received especially with their parents lol. What matter is,that this is the season to give and spread love to everyone.

Kids really have the most exciting life, no problems unlike adults, they have simple wishes that can easily come true - and oh how I wish I'd be a kid again! I've already bought my gifts for those godchildren of mine. I hate traffics and the crowd busy rushing to buy what they need for the holiday. Happy holidays, too, and may you have prepared your gifts for the little ones who'll soon be coming to knock on your door :)

Hello Jaiho, My kids are small they don't wait for the season to come they always demand for the gifts but as per their age they don't demand for sports car or house they just demand for toys.*hehehe*. I am literaly shocked to see the news. Its really a pity on us as we become helpless against the natural disaster.Hope we find ways to fight against these in future.
