What did you clean it with? If it is dirty still then you would have to take the whole thing apart and clean it. If it is mechanical you could turn the thing off, take the battery out for half a minute and then put it back in. If you happen to have a desk top i don't know what to tell you.

A cloth that is for computers. The battery was half the problem, needed two new ones. The other half was the ton of cat hair that I pulled out of it. Everything except the space bar is doing well. See response above you.

Cleaning it is also a good way to monitor the usage of your keyboard, but at the same time try unplugging it from the unit then replug back afterwards, because maybe it has something to do with it's cable connection towards the keyboard. Hope this helps.

Like what he just said :) My little brother's netbook experience that "non stop" spacebar thing. we had it fix because it was still covered by the warranty. It was caused by water splashing unto the netbook's keyboard. But anyway, i would suggest that you get another one if it doesn't work out. good luck to you

Mine is not a plug in. It's independent.

Sounds like you just need a new keyboard. They're cheap so it shouldn't be much of a strain on you. I've had my keyboard for a few years and just make sure not to eat or drink when I'm using it. Blow it out occasionally with a can of air. Don't know about the special cleaning product mentioned above but haven't had to go to that extreme. Just go get a new one.

Trying to save $ for a washer and to get my husband's teeth fixed. Every penny counts. I can use my husband's keyboard, but I hate it.

You didn't say how you cleaned it. Did you use a cleaner designed for keyboards as 3honor suggested or some household cleaner? Try using canned air next time. It will blow out dust and particles stuck in the tight spots. Better than blowing on it, because you also transmit spit that way.

I tipped it upside down. Whatever didn't come out from the above description, did then.
