I remember a movie called "pay it forward". A little kid had done a nice thing to other people, and other people just spread this good deed to others. It really happen in our reality, believe it or not, especially during the Christmas time. I had read the local newspaper, it is not only happen in Atlanta, but other places too, such as Indiana, New York, North Carolina too. When a man doesn't have enough money to pay for his layaway, reserved gift in a Kmart, only $70 due before the Christmas deadline of December 20. A lady told the cashier, "Let me pay for it." This man was surprised, and this lady unconditionally pay for the due amount of $70 of this layaway gift. She doesn't want to be remembered, but she wants people know that her deceased husband "John", who always want to help other people. Such good dead happens to a lot of states, and it always happen at the layaway windows. That is a such an inspirational story to read before the Christmas.

Hi kingparker, I don't think I could "pay it forward" with $70.00 but I do truly do believe in it..If I am put in public and can do anything within reason to help my fellow citizen, I am there..I think people who get the unexpected help really do appreciate. I always try to treat others as I would like to be treated...and one day when I am in need there is someone out there with a heart to reach out to me....

That is certainly a very inspiring story and I do believe that there are those who really do it. I too wish that I could do the same perhaps in my own small way. I know that there is really great feeling when you can do this things most especially if it is done to people who least expect it.

That is wonderful. I wish that would happen more often and not just the holiday season.

True this is a very inspirational story but it would be even more inspiration if this good deed had been done during other times of the year & NOT just around Christmas time when people are SUPPOSED to be kind to one another etc. etc. I'm not saying that what this woman did wasn't a true act of kindness because it was, but I wish more people followed this example all year long & not just when their SUPPOSED to because of a holiday based on traditions & nothing more. The world really would be a better place if people were to help one another like this kind hearted woman did. BTW I saw that movie too & it made me cry my eyes out. It was a very good movie.

That's a really nice story to hear and what a nice thing of that lady to do for the man. I've never done that but I try to help out if I can. At the grocery store they sometimes do donations for children's hospitals and I'll donate at least a dollar. The other day on my coke bottle I was able to donate a dollar to help save the polar bears. It's not much, but it's something that can help out just a little bit. Sometimes, if my dad sees someone in the military and in uniform, he'll pay for their meal. He says he's never able to really pay them back for serving our country but at least he can give them a meal.
