Honestly if i see one more spaghetti, i might puke. Lol. But i am still thankful for the goodies and the food that i received... my office gave us grocery packs for Christmas and the Head office also gave us..so its two sets of these grocery packs. I am so lucky atleast it is cutting down the expenses.. But all of it contains.. spaghetti lol..with sauce and cheese.. and i am not even planning on cooking spag this Christmas! The kids are even tired of it..so am here browsing the net for other pasta recipe.. as a normal average Filipino.. i am not really into cooking pasta..so this is hard. What else do i do with my pasta? this long string like thing that is on my shelf..i do not want to buy anymore..so i've got to make do with what i have. so any ideas? all i can think of is a sweet filipino style spaghetti.

just buy for the fast food...lol you can try maccaroni schottel jazel. here is my recipe, saute the onion and garlic then put some meats then any vegetable that you want after that some tomato pasta. meanwhile mix 4 eggs. boil the pasta. after that you can mix all the ingredients together and add some cheese on it. put it on the oven. there your maccaroni. hope that can help

I think people "give" spaghetti fixings as they are cheap and generally liked by all. I worked for quite a few companies over the years...and not a single one of them ever did anything for the company for christmas..no gift, no bonus..nothing. All they'd do is "allow" us to have a potluck on the day before the holiday! If we wanted to do Secret Santa or soemthing like that, we organized it between ourselves. The company did nothing! But I can understand your being tired of noodles! I have a few things I am tired off to! Check online for things like spaghetti with a cheese sause...Alfredo I think it is called. Maybe just dress up the noodles with something that isn't red might work okay for you! Macaroni and cheese with long thin noodles instead of elbow macaroni! Or even lasagna...with thin noodles instead of those fat ones. Whatever you do...hope you enjoy it. Sometimes just making it "For fun" helps to eat something we are so tired of! Happy Dining!

Spaghetti once a week with my husband would be fine. I can't have tomatoes. So I use pesto sause or cheese sauce. We have browned hamburger or meatballs many ways, too. There are many Asian noodle recipes, but they usually require asian noodles. Maybe one could be adapted to using spaghetti noodles.

it must be a cheap thing this time of year. i love spaghetti. you can cook it in anything you like. it goes in almost everything. make a salad with it and cool it. etc. we are sick of pizza. the 2 guys here like pizza all the time and it was on sale.

There are dozens of good sauces for spaguetti. But of course all of them have ingredients that you might not have. Still, if you have to buy part of your ingredients, maybe it would be better if you left the pasta for another day and buy something different for Christmas. I like my pasta with any kind of sauce with a tomato base or ans Alfredo sauce or a pesto. If seafood is unexpensive in your country, you might make a sauce with them.

Oh well, Jazel. It seems that all grocery packs contains spaghetti ingredients. At least, you already have something to cook. Maybe you can instead make a carbonara, not red sauce. You can look up as to what are the other ingredients. I would usually use mushroom soup & chicken fillet for the sauce and just thicken it so it will stick to the noodles. Me, i am happy that i will only be making chicken macaroni for Christmas. We have delegated the cooking of spaghetti and others to a relative. I am already tired of cooking the whole day of 24th , for the noche buena fare. We decided to just buy the others.

That's funny, I'm eating spaghetti as I read this. I'm getting tired of it as well. Too much a good thing ruins the good part of it. It seems like all I have in my house is spaghetti though.
