Why are you most active on the internet?

I find some people are using the internet all the time, even when at work. Where's some have fixed hours (or even minutes) everyday where they use the internet.
Personally, I use my computer almost the entire day, I just don't feel like I have anything important to do so I check the internet. There's always something new on the internet, and I can always entertain myself.
So tell me, what time are you mostly active on the internet? And for how much do you stay on the internet?

I don't really think that there is any fixed time. Most of the time, the Internet is ready to go at a moment's notice, even if I am not necessarily on the Internet at the time. There are just going to be a lot of times where I spend some time on the morning, some time the Afternoon, and relax with some leisurely video watching at night.
Of course, the fact that the Internet is a big part of the work force these days and being online is going to be something that we are going to really be doing more often. If you're not online, then you're out of touch, at least that what it seems like these days. I think that I am really going to be staying online a fair bit and I'm far from the minority.

What you said about being out of touch when not online is something I've been noticing lately. People are using their phones less often to call people and using instant messaging more these days.

Each of us has reasons why we are on the internet most of the time. Some say for gaming. Some say for communication. As for me, I am in to earning online. This is what I do. I don't want to waste my internet fee just for nothing. Other reasons could also be blogging and facebook.

I don't know about you but I find the internet the most rich resource of information there is. That's mostly what I use it for. As for earning, it's really difficult to get any decent amount of money through the internet without some real dedication, which I think I lack in the matter. I prefer doing a real life job instead.
But like you said, each of us has their reasons.

Wow! You have a blog!
Yeah, I find nothing to do when there's no internet connection for some reason. I tried once to start my own blog, but I didn't update it often and lost interest quickly. I might start a new one soon. I may start a website instead of a blog. I'll decide later whenever I finish my exams.

Most of the time, I am looking up information on the internet about whatever the captured my interest at the time. Lately, it has been researching information about a book I am writing. But the internet is also where I get my latest news, information, watch some videos (I like car driving videos), and listen to music. Another thing I have been doing a lot of lately is job hunting, because I am unemployed. Right now, I have been using Facebook a lot lately, but I am working on weening myself away from it. I also have put some of my drawings (I am in an art major), on FB, but plan on switching it to another site, as well as creating another page for my professional portfolio for employers to see. My Facebook is not shared by a large number of people, so I am more freely able to say what I want on there, and I don't use Twitter. Sometimes, I find myself on the internet for hours, but what usually happens is since my connection is not the fastest at home, and it is a lot faster at school, I will do a lot of downloading so that I can look at this stuff at home without having to connect to the internet.

I use the internet for about the same stuff you use it for.
About your internet connection, I htink, if you are financially capable, you should get faster internet. The internet is becoming more of a necessity these days and access to it should be easy and fast to everyone.

The internet connection is my family's, but since there are so many of us here that use the internet, I have been working to convince them to invest in faster speeds. Right now, financial difficulties are keeping us from doing that. I had an apartment and the connection in there was extremely fast when it worked (it went down a lot), but for some reason, they insisted on constantly raising the rates. I do miss the speed. It is like the difference between a Ferrari and a Honda

Most of all persons are interested to go to a new place. Using Internet we can go to a new place and learn new subjects and also see new persons. this may be the reason why all of the persons active on the Internet. (There may be other reasons)

I spend a lot of time on the computer too. I try to earn a little extra money and find ways to help us out financially. I also like finding coupons and free things on the internet for things we use.

The internet is a great source of assistance in many real life problems. I see you are using it in a very good way. Most people don't even believe it's possible to better one's self financially, so good job!

I love using my laptop to go onto fantastic My Lot, check my emails and watch interesting programs on Sky GO. I use my laptop when I have free time like late afternoon, evenings and weekends. I can use the Internet to do a search for something that is on my mind like traveling planning. I can book flights and find out information about my destinations. I tend to use the Internet for around four hours per day.

I think that's a bit above average internet usage time. But I feel like no matter how much someone uses the internet there's always more to do. The way you use it to book flights and learn more about your destinations is a great way of using. Imagine how you could accomplish that without the internet, finding such information would take hours, if not days. I really appreciate the technological luxury we have today.

I am most active on the internet because of social networking site, to play, send messages, chat and sending emails. I allotted half an hour a day if i can everyday for social networking site, online earning site, and reading something i want to.
If i have time to stay longer i do staying for 4 hours or more to chat, play games and read.

I can actually spend hours on the internet too..but lately i am just online for mylot..checking stuff, responding..and also i check fb so that is mostly why i am online but i am not here 24/7.. i would rather read a book, talk to my kids or watch tv too.

Yes ofcourse. It really depends on what you do on the internet. You can watch TV and read books through the internet, but having sometime away from the computer is good anyways. If it's nothing useful you're doing then yes, you shouldn't stay online for long.

I didn't try online shopping before, due to the fact that I live in Kuwait, where most products couldn't be delivered. The mailing system is a bit different here than in the US, so it's hard giving someone the particular address the object is to be delivered to. I'm also very young to have my own Credit Card, and using my parents' I can't really buy much with it unless I save up or something. Besides, most stuff that would require me to save up money to buy are already there here, and Kuwait isn't that big, so I can get most things I want for a maximum cost of an hour of driving.
I like watching videos too. I have Youtube open in one or more tabs all the time.
I'm joined to several forums aswell. Forums have helped me in a lot of stuff that I struggled with in studies.

I spend a lot of time in the internet too. I guess for the same reason as you, when I don't have anything urgent to do, the internet always seems more attractive than anything else. But, I usually watch TV too while I'm in the internet. I'm student, so, I don't use the internet during the day. I usually start to use at night and go until very late.

I'm finishing a couple of subjects I didn't do in highschool on my own at home. Most of friends continued at school but I thought I can handle them on my own, so I'm homeschooling myself. Due to this, I'm online almost all the time. The internet always seems like a better entertainment alternative than anything else, you're right. I watch TV too, not as much as I use the internet though.

I am active in internet because it can only entertain me by giving me anything I want,Basically internet is a book of knowledge but still most peoples even now dont know to use it efficiently and usefully.
After knowing after earning money online through mylot,I started being more active then before doing something more usefull and helpfull thing.I feel so satisfies after all by only spending some quality time by becommiing more active on the internet.

I like keeping up with the news, and with our presidential race coming next year I am trying to educate myself in learning who would be the best candidate for the job.
Also I play on a site called Webkinz and share things with other children that play on there and send them gifts etc. Its fun
As far as coming here to mylot, its to see what my friends have wrote for the day and also view subjects that interest me and discuss and reply.

That is a good thing to use the internet for. Unlike others who only use it for wasting time, you are getting yourself educated. As for Webkinz, I've never heard of that site, but I'll make sure to check it out.

even i am very much addicted to the net. There so many things to search for, about which we do not know. new recipes, clothes,downloads just anything and everything. sometimes i do not even keep track of time while i am busy searching.
