Update on the food situation

Well.. will wonders ever cease! SIL went to the store and bought a bunch more of those onesies and Totino's Pizzas and other stuff... and he asked me to come out and see. He gave me the second shelf and gave Kim the 1st shelf... Kim has the Chinese ones... and I have the spaghetti in Marinara sauce. The 3rd shelf he said was community, so we can all get something from the 3rd or 4th shelf... so at least there is some food in the house again.
I told him that I was going to take about $60 or $70 of my money and buy the extra things that I want like yogurt, and Vienna sausages and potted meat and stuff... and some fruit cups and cool whip.
He was okay with that. I usually have them pick up my yogurt and stuff when I get money in paypal... but this month I couldn't and I've gone without it. I really miss it so far this month. Next month I will go myself and walk around the store and buy the stuff I want to keep in my room.

woohoo doing the happy dance here but this wont make me abandon the idea of giving your son in law a nice yelling being heard up and down the street for his behaviour.

Usually it is okay… I was annoyed when I wrote that first discussion.. but it’s all resolved for now.. can’t wait to get paid so I can get some things I want.

Our children seem to forget how much we provided for them since their birth. Now that they are grown they think they should be compensated for anything they do for us. Maybe we should hand them a bill for all the sleepless nights and privation that we went through bringing them into this life and caring for them all those years.

Sometimes stress makes us be mean, even to people we like. I hope he has a mellow holiday. I think you all need to be able to eat and not stress about food.

Yeah, sometimes stress does do that. I love my family and they love me. I know that and they know that. Sometimes we just have to find a solution that works for everyone when things are tight.

Sounds good, maybe he realized that it wasn't just you eating all the food and this was his way of making amends. I am glad to hear that there is food in the house once again.

I don’t know if that was it… he just didn’t want his wife going hungry… she is very fussy too. But I’m glad he did go to the store and tried to be fair to everyone here.

I think he possibly was hungry too, plus didn't want anyone else to go hungry either. This could have been away to hopefully make amends. Who knows.
Have a nice evening.

Yes, that would be a victory, to keep everyone fed and have a food plan… but it’s not going to happen in my house… I’m not the head of the household… my daughter and her husband are.. I’m just the roommate sort of that shares expenses by paying for the food.. they pay everything else. They do things their way and only their way. I told them last night that I am going with them next time and I’m going to shop for things I want for myself, they can get what they want for themselves… we don’t eat as a family.. sad, but true.

Sounds like a good plan. I'm glad you & your family got it all worked out. Sometimes it's hard living with family I know, but trust me living by yourself is even worse. The quiet & loneliness sometimes is more then any one person can take. So perhaps just talking things out from now on is the best way to approach any future problems. That way everyone is happy in the end.

I have lived alone and sometimes it was okay, but a lot of the time it was awful… I had my cats back then to keep me company, but even then sometimes the loneliness was like living in a tomb.
