24 hours a day enough for you?

Hi everybody. This question just sort of pop into my mind a while ago after watching supernatural series where one of the main character, Dean Winchester got old because of some magic poker game. Time seems to pass so fast and we only have 16 hours a day if we are to sleep for 8 hours a day which is recommended by most doctors. Every morning I get up, brush teeth, take bath, breakfast and attend lectures. When I got home it is already 6:30pm in the evening. I take bath again, dinner, study and online a bit and that's it. one day passes without realizing it. I'm now almost 24 years old and my childhood feels like only happened a few days ago.I'm starting to think that I'm actually running out of time. It would be nice if I can stop the clock of universe so that time can at least slow down a bit, but that's not possible. Feel like I really need to live every second of my life to the fullness. What do you think? Do you think that you still have much time left? Have you lived your life to the fullness?

Hello squallming, I devote at least 8 hours in sleeping so remaining 16 hours are really insufficient to complete my work. From these 16 hours i have to be on my offline job for at least 11 hours so in remaining 5 hours i have to take dinner, bath, play with kids,do net surfing and many other non routine things. But really 24 hours are not enough. I sometimes think the day should be of 36 hours may be then i could complete my all works.

It is nowhere nearly enough. We used to discuss this while preparing for competitive exams and how the successful people use their time to the fullest and it is all about time management. But is it? As you said, I leave for my college at 6:30 in the morning and come back at the same time in the evening. I hardly get any time so I push it into the night for my myLot activity and stuff.

It really depends whether one lives each day on it's own. I know I don't. I get things done whenever I'm up, no matter when I'm up. I do think some more time would be a bit better.

My friends often said that 24 hours is not enough for her. I also can't deny that the time goes fast now, it is not as slow as I was a kid. But after thinking deeper about it, it is not only about how long time we have passed in our life but also the meaningful time we have passed. Cos 1 hour will go fast if we sleep/do daydream and get nothing, but if we pass 1 hour by doing good thing or being useful for others it will means so much and the happy feeling will be so long to remember on our mind. Simply, doing good things make 24 hours seems longer

You never know when time flies.Specially when we are occupied with some thing, life becomes so mechanical. We follow the same routine from morning to night and do not realize how the day ends. There is always something pending , left to do.

hey squallming, 24 hours are not enough time we are having in a day, atlest not for me, all the things i do everyday is nothing and sleeping all the time. i am so addicted for the sleep that i am not completing my sleeping, yes you are right doctors recommended that a person needs to sleep 8 hours a day but i am sleeping double.still not enough for me. i earth moves a bit form its orbit so that 24 hours turns into the 30 hours i guess that would do favour for me. or either god give me some more time so that the time i have wasted during sleeing can be recovered. god decides, i rejoice....cheers

Sometimes, I do wish that there was an extra hour or two for sleep and so that I can finish some of my work, but I know that that isn't possible. I would love to have more time in my day.

24 hours is definately not enough time for me to accomplish all I like to. And the living your life to the fullest, make every second count, live like there's no tomorrow...that's seems really quite impossible unless you have unlimited income or make an imcome doing something you really truely enjoy, which most people don't. I myself, try to make the most of everyday just by keeping a sense of humor about the everyday mundane stasks that are required of me. Dont really know how much time I have left but when that time comes I hope it goes as quickly as each day seems to.
