Shelves in the home

That sounds lovely, sounds like you have similiar tasted to me as far as decor goes, last year a friend of mine covered in my back decking so I could have privace and shelter and I asked him to pur a shelf all the way around so now I have bits and pieces all the way around it, I love to have my treasures on display...

I also think shelves and book cases are useful for storage. I like to put wicker baskets on them to hold the small stuff and get more organized. I have one basket full of small candles and lighters, another with school supplies, another with art supplies, another with batteries...and so on. lol.

Shelves are a good way to organize so that the person can see at a glance where things are. Sounds wonderful, candles and crystals, esp. Our shelves have mostly books, CDs, DVDs, and videos. Some baskets. Take care.

We have shelves in almost every room. In our living room the shelves are full of books and a few other things like some candle sticks, flowers and a sculpture that father bought in Thailand. In our kitchen we have four shelves. On the top shelf there is a candle stick and on the other shelves there are matroyoshka dolls in different colours. Upstairs in the storage room we also have some shelves, but they are not used for decorations, it is just a way to organize different papers and other things that we need to keep. We have many boxes on those shelves and they are all full of papers, envelopes and similar things. In my crafts room my husband has recently put up some shelves, and I use them for my paintings and my photomanipulations.

Shelves do help you in organizing the only downside is that you'll have a hard time of cleaning when you have a big shelf full of different stuffs. The hassle of removing the books, trophies and then putting them back will surely put a toll on you. I prefer glassed wall bounded shelves because it keeps the dirt away from your things.
