Do you make new year resolutions and do you stick to them?

Every year, I make my new year resolution list and every year, I am not able to stick to them. Plus, every year's list is almost the same as last year's! Most of my family and friends are the same as me. They keep making lists and these things we all wrote down never get fulfilled. Maybe half the fun is also in making these lists. At the end of the year, we all just laugh at what we wrote. How about you? Do you guys make new year resolutions and forget about these after a few months like me?

Hi zzyw87, Happy New Year to you, i also make a list of my new year's resolution but this year i did not. I feel it useless because i do not get to follow all of those in the list. This year i just keep on reminding myself to stop as much as possible using my credit cards and to be cautious in dealing with other staff in my office who are not trustworthy. I also vowed to work harder than before so i could finish everything i want to do. These are just a few of the things i should do to improve my life a bit this year, i just keep them in mind rather than writing it and forget all about it.

I used to have new years resolution when I was in elementary. Maybe because after the break, our teachers always ask about our resolution. LOL But now, I do not have any. I just do what I have to do and just enjoy the things I want everyday. It's better to not have any new years resolution and do what you need to do than having a new year's resolution but feel depressed at the end of the year because you did not stick to it. :)

I do not have any new years resolution. I use to have when I was a kid and really tried my best to follow and what I promised to do the whole year- but sadly-most of the times- it doesn't work (hehehe) now I don't have and never had any new years resolution.

I don't think I will make resolutions also for next year. Such a waste of time. :)

I have made several resolutions and I am hoping to really stick with them this year. I am currently out of work and am hoping to find a job soon so I can pay off my debts. I have several small debts I need to pay off and am hoping to achieve this goal soon so I can save up for a house. I also want to lose weight so I can be healthier. I want to finsh college this year (I know this will be acheieved in April). I am learning how to make jewelry and am hoping that I can sell some of my jewelry online. I will try to make payout every month here and also look for a few other sites where I can make a little extra money.

At least your goals are achievable and reasonable. Good luck. You can do it slowly. :)

It's been a while since I stop making new year resolution the reason is I've never make it come true. Since I was young I have one common resolution and that is to eat veggies. Last year, I eat veggies little by little and I'm happy to eat a whole meal with veggies but I didn't make a resolution for 2011. Now I have about two resolution and I'm planning to make it a reality for this year.

Yes. Resolutions are always easier when you just have one or two goals.

I haven't made any new resolution for a long time as I believe that it is very hard to stick to it. I usually just attend to what seems more urgent and important.
