ever had those moments in life where you just don't want to go to work??? i'm in private home health care and i adore my client, but now that i'm working 7 days a week again, i just can't find my motivation to get out of bed and go take care of her. what's really sad is, that this is my only short day! why can't i find my motivation to work 3 hours???? or could it be that it's only 3 hours that i can't get motivated to get up???

7 days a week? That is too much. You should have at least a day off to recharge your batteries and do your own thing. I work 5 days a week and would love to reduce that down to 3. All work and no play is not good for you. Mind you, 3 hours is not long and maybe it is the shortness that is the demotivation here? This was posted 2 weeks ago, so I am assuming that you are up by now. Least I hope so, lazy bones if you're not!

oh yes. i made it that day and every day since then. i have light at the end of this tunnel. i started training my weekend relief yesterday. that makes 23 days and counting and i have 14 more days to go. :):):) on top of taking my cleint to her therapy sessions, i have to take her to the hospital for pre-op and then the outpatient procedure. i'll have a fun-filled adventure this week.

once i got there, i was able to get motivated. waatching her make the improvements needed really gets me motivated to work her more. i'm just not a morning person, especially after working 9 days straight and not knowing when my next day off will be.
