I have put this question in life rather than religion as I wanted answers that weren't affected by religion. My granddaughter doing her RI homework asked the following questions which I thought were very apt for a Sunday. There is are no right or wrong replies. 1/ Can it be proved that God exists or not and how. 2/ Does it matter if God exists or not and why. Your opinion is what I'm after.

1)It is not possible to prove God existed by mortal and insignificant men, unless God want to present himself to us, even Moses can't see God in his meeting with him in Mount Sinai, except hear his voices and face with fire. 2) It all depend whether you believe Goodness is essential in our present world or not, when one feel that his exitence, teaching and words of wisdom will make no difference to the future of our world, man civilization and personal growth, then his existence or non existence will not matter at all.

Right, an individual has to decide for himself or herself what path to take in whatever destination he or she want to reach. Some may choose to reach that point at above or right below by his mortal way not thro' divinity or spirituality. God is providing the mortals an alternative way to reach that destination, whether it really exist or not won't matter to all people.

Well done lamps if something can't be touched or felt is is not possible to prove existence. Whether it matters if god exists depends on the individual.

Hi moneylots no need to apologise these things happen using the phone for mylot can't be easy but a bit easier than trying to physically prove that god exists. It's like proving that ghosts exist it's not something you can feel or touch you either believe or you don't. The idea of some controlling thing might explain the limits of space.

@telmesh, yes! hehehe! And you are right, the thing that we can't grasp with our senses, like sight, touch, etc is will lead us to believe it or not, so again it will be back to the thing called "faith" hehe... :)

I would have to answer NO to both questions. I am an agnostic and I do not agree with alot of the teachings of the BIble and I have no reason to believe there is a GOD as it is taught in said Bible. I do believe in a higher power however.

As you believe in an higher power what would you like to call it. I feel that the word god actually is just a name given to a higher power that can be anything some people call it nature.

Is there proof God exists??? The very best proof one can have that God exists is when you actually find God. There is other proof. In this time based causal universe, God's actions can be seen, however many will argue whether they are the actions of God or not.Discovery for yourself is the best proof. Does it matter whether God exists or not. You bet it does. We wouldn't be here otherwise. On the other hand, believing has never ever been important to God. it is only important to religion. So it one doesn't believe in God, that doesn't matter.

If I get you right the proof that god exists can only come to an individual you can't prove to another that god exists. Following on whether it matters if god exists,as you say it does not matter to god, then it only matters to the individual.

1) about His existence: for this do onething go to browser and type the keyword unsolve mysteries you will have a list, there are many mysteries in the world for which even science people cant give explanation and admitting that there is some supernatural power exists above us. 2) does it matter: it actually depends on people.

A very understandable answer, I can't see how a person can say whether god exists or not as you can only prove some is real or not if it has a physical presence. I must certainly that existence or not, will depend on whether a person wants it to exist. Thanks for the answer, good job.

1) The existence of God can't be proved. More and more people these days see God as some kind of energie. God is different depending on the person. 2) Some people like my brother don't believe in God as person or energie. Its doesn't concern him if his name dissapears from books. But for other persons can this be different. I don't really believe in God. In my opinion God is my luck. Nothing more. Hope this helped you a bit.

Its depends, if you want a prove anything about our senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell), its really impossible. But if you want a prove with our mind, brain, look around us, how creatures and this universe are higly complicated yet disgned perfectly in order, so there is must be a creator.
