Did You Return Any Christmas Gifts?

Oh, shame, for shame. Just kidding. I actually only got two Christmas presents--a check from my Dad (bless him) and a calendar, which I really did appreciate. So I'm keeping all my gifts this year. Did you return any? But why, do tell.

I didn't get a lot for Christmas, but I did not return any of the things that I did get. The best thing I got for Christmas was a $1 solid silver coin from my mother that used to belong to my grandpa. It is just one more thing that I have to help me remember him.

Nope, did not return any. Like you, I do not get a ton, and what I get is usually very appropriate. Some of mine was cash, and some was gift cards, and a necklace from my hubby.

OH no! My rule is ... never buy clothes for people, especially for presents. It just never works out.

No, but of course, I make sure people know what I want and if they can't get that, then they have explicit instructions to give me cash. OR THEY'RE OUT OF THE WILL! Actually, no, but seriously speaking, I think that this year, everything that I wanted, I really wanted to say the very least. I keep all of my gifts, in fact for the past few years, they have been what I wanted. I don't think that I have returned any gifts in the past. Granted, there have been a few stinkers in the past, but I think that I want to bury those gifts to the deepest darkest corner of my closet so I never have to look at them until I pawn them off in a Garage Sale about five years later when I long since I have forgotten about them, so I never have to look at them again. But I have never returned any gifts.

Of course not...I think that gesture will be so impolite. We should accept gifts even though it's small or not the stuff that we want but the giver spend some time for us to choose it and wrap. We should appreciate the gift we are given. Happy Holidays!

I try to teach my kids that. It seems they've learned the lesson.

I didn't return any gifts this year either, of course the only gift I got was money from mom and dad. I really needed that money, so I sure wasn't going to return that. I have never been the type of person to return gifts that I receive, because I feel that people put thought into finding something they thought I would like and I never have the heart to return it. Even if the gift giver doesn't know that I returned it, I would know.

That's my motto ... for the most part anyhow. Even if it's a box of chocolates, people made a special trip to buy that and thought of me. That's good enough for me. BTW, I always appreciate a box of chocolates.

No I didn't have to return anything, I loved everything I was lucky enough to get, mind you I have never returned anything even in the past, so I think people pretty much know what I like.

Exactly. It's hard to return blessings, if you know what I mean.

Nope. I did not returned any. It came from my friends so that came for their heart. And I loved their gifts. No matter how simple or extravagant a gift is, I will never return as long as it came from the people i love. And you know, it's rude to return gifts.

I think so too. Anything from friends and family is special.
