Social Sites that have been around for more than 10 years and going steady...

I was wondering if there were any sites on the internet that have been around for more than 10 years and still going steady.Most of the email providers like yahoo and hotmail have been around for longer than that and of course google ...But other than mylot which may be reaching the decade mark soon,and a few other article writing sites like ciao and dooyoo that have been around for a long period I cannot think of many other sites that have lasted that long.Ciao and dooyoo , both article writing sites have been around for more than 10 years ...
Friends, Anyone of you members of sites for more than 10 years? ...please share some information on the sites and your own experiences on them,,,

I did not try Ciao or dooyoo. I started with Yahoo answers initially and then switched over to mylot.
I am here on mylot for nearly five years and I understand that it is nearly 6-7 years older. I have always been loyal to this site and did not jump to any other similar site. Some friends suggested other sites but when I explored the sites, I did not find those sites as enjoyable and user friendly, as mylot.

One of the users at Yahoo answers made a casual mention of mylot besides some other sites and I landed here 
. (And since when I joined here I have always been loyal to this site and no other site appeal me )

Hi kala and deepak I feel so thrilled to share the same experience that I too casually started with yahoo answers and one answer by an answerer redirected me here in mylot . Though I am not that veteran here like you two but from then I never looked back .

Hi srik, dhawan, thanks a lot for sharing your views I agree that once you get settled here , you will never want to leave.
I had similar experience with mypage 5 and the admin is partial to some members who are perpetually praising him and pays them in full inspite of them not doing anything much , so, I too decided not to waste my time on that site...

I cannot believe it's been 3 or four years since I last landed on this site. It's an on and off relationship though but I never left it for good.
Aside from those you mentioned, I don't know of any other sites that lasted for ten years

Hi Theresa, I agree that once you get used to a site it becomes part and parcel of your life ...It is the same with mylot and a couple of other sites which I have been a member of since 4-5 years.I guess there are very few sites which have stood the test of time on the net like mylot ...all the best and thanks a lot

Hello Kiran ji, glade to see your topic here after long time. I don't know about the life of sites. I started on line job before three years. Before it I was stranger for internet. I don't know about Ciao and Dooyoo writing site. Tell me some more about these sites.

Hi anil, thanks a lot and how have you been ? hope all ok with you , I have been busy with some personal work and problems, sorting things out and that has been taking up a lot of my time, so have not been active on the net since a long time now.Hopefully things wold be alright in a week or two and I could hopefully get back to my routine.I do miss interacting here with all my dear friends .Anil, I have written about ciao and dooyoo in the above post...take care and all the best

Hi wonderboy, no worry, they are both article writing sites based in the UK.They are both excellent sites and pay well. But one needs to have a UK bank account into which your earning gets directly credited - all the best and thanks a lot for sharing your views
