I think I have found what I am looking for

In one of my my earlier topics I had confessed to have signed up with several writing sites and was neglecting all of them lock, stock and barrel. Can't have one's finger in too many pies. Right? I tried iWriter and I am doing well there. They don't expect visitors to pat you on your back. It is just between you and the requester. I have already written 15 articles and most of them have been accepted. They pay well too. I have reached my writing destination it seems to me. I will stick to iWriter and hope to do justice there. Have you reached too?

I'm more interested in having people read my articles than money. I get a lots of views on Expert Column. So, right now I'm happy there. I average about 100 views a day. I'll check your writing spot and see what's it's like.

Surely someone is reading something. If they look at it, they must read something. If I have constant visitors every day, that is encouraging and if the earnings increase from an article I have only written once, that too is encouraging. That encourages me to keep writing and to become better at my craft. All the best!

I get the feeling that the number of views does not categorically mean that visitors have read the articles.

One other point about iWriter is that one's the article is approved of it gets into the data bank and anyone can buy that article - not just the requester.

For me, I think that it is nice to get paid something up front for what we write. However, it is also my opinion that in the long run we make a lot more by having articles on sites that pay residual earnings for articles that we've written. That is the reason that I choose to write my articles on a site that does pay residual. That way, I at least know that I do have a passive income when I don't have time to devote to writing articles.

iWriter credits you the moment the article is approved of but one needs to have a minimum of twenty dollars which is easy. The residual concept is a good one as one can expect surprise payments round the year and that does not happen with iWriter. I like this site because one does not have to beg people to visit you!

If you want to be a freelance writer as a career, than both up-front payment 'and' residual payment is necessary. That's what I'm searching for myself and I found a lot but I still haven't applied to no writing sites since myLot a month and 22 days ago. I have 3 in mind - Seed, Odesk, and Constant-content. I'm still in the deep research phase of my freelance writing hunting.

I heard about iWriter yesterday. How is this site for you? How much have been paid there. Say for 300 word article? Does that amount increase with more article submissions? I will try this out, but at the moment I have writing assignments that pays good.

I suggest that you go to iWriter as there is so much one needs to know. What attracted me to this site is that one does not have to look for referrals or visitors to increase one's earnings. It is between the requester and you and not even iwriter will interfere. Yes. They pay well. I have just joined and so I have yet to get paid. But I have already reached the minimum twenty dollars.

There's a discussion of iWriter pay rates a little way down Response 1 on this discussion: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2614148.aspx They pay low (they're a content mill, after all) but at least they're reliable.

@Spike - I do not mind the low pay but compared to so many 'writing' sites there is no pressure on our trying to get visitors to pat us on our back - visitors who know nothing about writing!

I did a lot of Textbroker, but they did not always have a lot that I could writie to lately. since I have gone back to work I do not look much, although I liked it there. I may go look at iWriter as well. I am a member a lot of places myself.

You will like it here GG as it is just between you and the requester not even iWriter will have a say.

I joined iwriter a few weeks ago, but I had forgotten about it until now. Thanks for the reminder. I am thankful that there are so many writing sites online that we can work from. I have done well with Associated Content, but it seems that since they switched to the Yahoo Domain that the pay is not as great and that they are not accepting as many articles.

Being on too many writing sites did not work for me as I used to neglect all of them. I am finding iWriter to be the site for me and hope to be there for as long as I feel it serves my purpose.

Carolscash did you try associated content now that they have been bought by yahoo? I was writing too on Associated Content before. It was really great but know i wanted to try it again. I didnt know if anything changed cuz of yahoo.

I have tried some article writing but have not tried iwriter yet. I did have my share of earnings but currently, have not done so much on the writing aspect since I am quite busy with my day job. But perhaps later on, I will surely write some to earn once again on the sites that I have joined. I will surely try iwriter. Well, good luck on your work and more earnings to come.

I didn't did a big search to say that I found it my place to write. But, IWriter is close to be the one too. I didn't reached the payment yet, but, write there is easy and don't have all the work to the article be accepted as you need to do on others sites. I hope that when I reach the payment, I receive it, but, for what I searched, they are a trustable site.
