Do you have good neighbors?

I have a new neighbor who lives next door. Only a wall separates our house. In fact I never have a neighbor that live so near to my house. Since I moved in to my new house I was blessed with a new neighbor who is so kind and respectful. Today she came over to my house bringing with her a big bag and told me that she wanted to dispose the cloths as her closet could not accommodate anymore. Initially I felt a bit embarrassed as I thought she was throwing all her rubbish for me to use or undermining me. I thank her and took it out of courtesy. Soon after she left I opened the bag out of curiosity and was shocked that most of the clothes are designers cloths. Some are used and some are still in their plastic covers with tags on and one brand new handbag. The tees and dresses are mostly for teenagers. I send them all to the Red Cross Society for them to distribute to the needy except for the bag which I happen to like. Having a good neighbor is a blessing as they are a substitute for our family who maybe living far away and are not available when we are in trouble.

My next door neighbors are very nice. They are very helpful since I live alone. Even though my brother lives very near, I feel more comfortable to ask for their help. I´m glad you have such good neighbors too.

Zandi, you seems very lucky to have a good neighbor like this one. When we are still living in our old home, indeed we do came across one good neighbor. That neighbor likes to share with us the fruits and veggies which she harvested from her farm. We, in return, always bought and gave them some other fruits and even food. But, this good neighbor only lived here for a few months. The next neighbor that moved in is not a friendly person and seems hard to be neighbor with that recent one. Luckily, my parents managed to sell off that home and moved to another new place, where we felt comfort again.

You are very lucky to have a good neighbor. We have always wanted one around us also but have lost hope for that to happen. We may move again some day when my husband retires and we hope to have a good neighbor then, if not, just live in peace without being surrounded by nuisance neighbors.

I seem to be a popular figure in my neighborhood as my front and back neighbor are also making their presence felt by going over to my place often. Since we are all new to this housing estate I have yet to meet the rest. My immediate neighbor has already send me an invitation to their chinese new year open house.

You are very lucky to have such a kind neighbor. Lucky means such neighbor can be found one amongst 1000. If i say the reality regarding my neighbor then you will think that i am stupid or odd. In fact, i have very good relations with all the villagers except both side neighbors.

Having good neighbors is very fantastic.
When I still lived in my hometown. I also have many good neighbors.
But when I grew up, I must move to city to work. And people in the big city is not friendly as one in the countryside. Because they're always busy with their works and they don't have time to care about their neighbors.
So you're very lucky to have such good neighbors.

I don't have neighbors like yours. Most of my neighbors keep to themselves and I myself don't really go out on social calls to my neighbors. We don't give out clothes, but when there is a birthday or a special occasion we give out food. This Christmas was the only exception that we did not get any or give out any food since most of neighbors were not here during the holidays.

I was warned before I move to my townhouse I should not expect friendly neighbors like my neighbors in my village house. Usually those living in housing estates are 'reserved' and do not mingle with their next door neighbors. But the warning was baseless as I am feeling the same human touch like I used to have in the village.

Hi Zandi,
I am very lucky to have very good neighbors. My next door neighbor is lovely and was a care nurse so if ever I have been ill or wanted to ask her about anything she has been like a 'doctor' to me-lol-also she is always there to listen and help too.
My neighbor but one is the most lovely lady-she is German but we get on so well and have such a laugh-often she will make something she has in Germany and will bring it over for me to try-it always lovely she too has helped me a lot and is such a good friend.

that is so cool. im really glad for you. perhaps she knows you will pay it forward like that. so she'd rather give to someone appreciative. 
i had neighbors like that in ohio. but ive never had any that nice here. in az everyone seems to themselves so much. not at all real friendly or sociable. 
i only know mine for saying hello and thats it.

Wow, you have such a good neighbor. I also have a nice one who sometimes give us food after a party. Of course, we get invited to their party but they also give us more food to bring home. I am thinking of myself now, I am not really a very good neighbor as I don't throw parties like that, but you know what? I always feed their dogs when they wait at our gate while I feed my own pets.

Wow! How generous of her to just give those expensive stuff to you, her new neighbor, whom she hasn't even been closed with. And you did a great job too by sending it to Red Cross so these clothes will be of use by someone who needed it more.

It is good to have helpful and polite neighboors and you are very lucky because some people face daily problems and issues with them.I live in an appartment and my neighboors at the same floor are really good people not noisy at all and they respect you. But i have heard from other tenants, living downstairs,that some of them have really problems with the people living next to them.
I believe that your daily routine can be really difficult and fustrating with bad and impolite egocentric neghboors. I have heard many stories and really awful situations about this matter...And the worse is when you try to talk to them they totally ignore you and things then can be really difficult for you then...

My other sister lived with a nasty neighbor. The neighbor will beat up her dog if the dog happen to cross over to their compound. From the day she found out about her neighbor beating her dog, she never shown any friendliness with them and yet only a wall separate their houses.

That is terrible!If something like that happened to my beloved pet then i would kicked and punch to his/her face and maybe consider to move out! I am overprotected with my pets and people i love and i can even kill someone if tries to do harm to them.I feel so sorry about the dog. Your sister should be very careful in case the neighbor try to even poison her dog.I have heard this happening many times .

I would day its good to know your neighbours, but not becoming freinds with them, otherwise they will start to thrive the gossip in your family, and they will shortlyy pay a small visit to borrow some eggs, or sugar, its best just to know then for safety reason like when u going on holiday sothat they can just keep an eye on your property.

Good neighbors are a blessing really...I Am happy to say I always had good neighbors...about 2 years ago I had my card stolen[ the one I use to do banking and shopping] and it was a weekend so I did not have any cash on me I went to my neighbor and asked for help and they lend me money! I was so great full! I will never forget their lovely gesture.

This is the kind of spirit that we want in our neighborhood. In times of need we can count on them for help. It is too early to say if my neighbors are willing to do the same when I am down to my last pennies and in desperate situation. Looks like they are good neighbors. I have only moved in early this month and still trying to adjust to my new environment.

Wow zandi! you truly are gifted with a good neighbour! As for my neighbours, they would give us excess of their harvested mangoes from their own tree. My neighbour from my right is quite anti-social. While my neighbour at the back... eewwwr is such a nuisance because they put up the volume everytime they sing karaoke! To make it worse, they sing till the wake of dawn giving me sleepless nights.

I have good and nice neighbors and all of them are like my substitution family who living far away. Yeah, sometimes we take and give each other.....
Good neighbors are very helpful in any condition, they are the number one who come when our family get something trouble.
Your neighbor is good too, congratulation for that..you just get a new family.

Hi zandi, fortunately I have to say that yes I have a very good
neighbor...They have issues but I wouldn't trade her for anybody
else...
She happens to be a very good person and is willing to share any
and everything...She is definately not a selfish person just like
myself..and if there is anything I do for her at anytiime I am
there for her...be it a few dollars or food..
I think all of us have a reason for being here on this earth and
God expects us all to do our part...I believe its a great honor
to be in a position to help others...We never know when we may
need something or someone...and Hopefullly someone will be there
for us....
You have a great neighbor...enjoy your neighbor!!!!!!
