Yes it can be cured with great efforts like pranayam only, but one should not avoid the medicines, insulin etc, it is a slow killer with so many side effects at old age
I am facing diabetes neuropathy now, can't walk freely due to pain and burning sensation in soles of feet..
I take insulin injections before food too.
Best of luck.

My husband is Type 2 Diabetic and he is trying to control his sugars. He has a serious foot condition called Charot's foot and is unable to do any exercising. He meets with the nutritionist on Tuesday and one of our many questions will be what can he do since he cannot excercise (he is in a wheelchair and walking is definately out of the question). My husband and I have completly cut sugar out of his diet and we watch what he eats. he has cut back on his carbs and calories as well. He only eats 1800 calories a day and eats one portion instead of eating seconds and thirds. If he wants a snack he eats fruit instead of candy and chips.

I think healthy diet and regular exercise can really help a lot to avoid having diabetes because one time when i'm watching television, the topic in the show is about diabetes and cancer. Three elders there in the show said that before they are taking lot of medicine just to take away their diabetes and cancer but nothing happened. They do not heal what ever medicine from the doctors they take but when they try to have daily exercise they become healthy again and eating vegetables and fruits really help and they also avoid fats.

Hi, Diabetes needs medicines, diet and insuline to be treated correctly and prevent bad body damages. Diabetes has 2 types: 1 and 2. Type 1 you get from birth or before 33/35 years old (like me) the type 2 is called adult diabetes and comes after 40s years of age.
Type 1 = insuline + diet
Type 2 = pills + diet + insuline in some cases
To control well Diabetes there is a glycemia control to do at least 4 times a day. You do it with a glucometer, testing your blood sugar level before eating gives you an idea of how your sugar level is and how to calibrate your diet or insuline units to inject.
Exercise your body helps to lower sugar level in the blood because forcing your metabolism to go faster it will help your muscles to burn sugar from your blood correctly. The more regularly you do it the better for you...in some cases you can reduce medicaments.
The most important thing to do is to go to a specialistic doctor for Diabetes...this is a MUST!
