I am thinking about raising rabbits or chinchillas to sell to make some "extra" money. If it were rabbits, I could save money by not having to buying as much meat. Also I use fur in my Native American crafts so I would not have to buy as much fur for my crafts and I could sell the extra. What other animals would you suggest that I might be able to sell to make money with that does not take lots of room and is not very hare to raise?

Good afternoon, sorry but it is prohibited to eat and skin rabbits and other animals. It is animal cruelty in any form, there petition on that. I am an animal advocate, I signed every petition for animal wellness and safety. I hope you come up with other harmless ideas to earn money from animal without inflicting pain and cruelty. You can atleast have a goat for their milk or chicken for their eggs that you can sell in the market. Please stop using real animal fur or slaughter them, it may sound normal to you but it is against the law and it is extremely animal cruelty. Hope this enlighten you!

Here in the United States of America, it is not illegal to kill animals for food and skins. I plan on killing them in a way that does not cause them pain so that they do not suffer. They will b raised n conditions that keep them healthy and happy.

I hope of making it illegal is in progress, I understand that there are animals for human consumption and is legal to be killed. I hope that we can broaden our thinking in earning money thru animals. Maybe you can think about my proposal on making money through what animals produce instead of killing them. Rabbit is my dream pet when I was young, my sister gave me a pair as a birthday present, it was my happiest gift I've ever received. We raised the bunnies and their offspring, since I was young that time we cannot manage to take good care of them, all was sell for pet and not for meat. Now I have hamster and same as bunnies, I'm planning to give them away to those who wants to take good care of them.

I'd would like to raise hamsters and rabbits, they can multiply in just a short period of time and they can be easily sold out..

The best idea is to start with two dogs. one male one female.. make sure to choose good breads and take care of their health.. give them good foods and take them to doctor periodically.. Now within a year you have two healthy adult dogs.. Now wait...
Six month later.......
Female dog gives you cute puppies.. grow them.. repeat the same process..
Now puppies grow older and they give you more puppies.. same process.. grow them and they get adult too and give you more puppies.. This way within a couple of years you will have a farm full of healthy dogs with various breads..
Seriously I smell really good money selling dogs.......... plus you don't even have to kill animals to earn money...

Good idea, but I'm afraid others may turn into puppy mills. Make sure that the pair will be taken care of too and ensure that buyers are animal lovers and the dogs will serves as pets only. As the saying goes "love your job and your job will love you back". I love dogs!
