I would like to say that I could live without one, but I really can't I mean besides the obvious reasons that if I'm out no matter where I am I could be reached, but what if something happend? like my car breaking down or some near me was injuried. But besides all of that I have it for my kids to get a hold of me and me them. I never leave home with out it and in fact I feel very weird if I don't have it near me at all times, I also use it as an alarm clock to get up in the morning.

I think that, in modern society, the cell phone, to a certain point has become a necessity, or, trying to avoid the word necessity, is something that makes our live more easy. Although, it is also very easy to loose control and become dependant to the telephone or any other gatget modern technology has put to our reach.

For real, cellphone is mainly an entertainment gadget but its uses don't let you down in the long run. I tend to procrastinate a lot listening to music or browsing the web if used as a modem but the real deal is I get in touch with more people with just a push of a button.

Hi in my case it is very important to have it because I use it for work checking and answering emails, but also to surf on internet or as a GPS. I use it also as working agenda and as contact list for all my contacts including restaurants and favourite places to go. I believe that for personal security is important and it becomes a partner to play when I have to wait at airports.

I do think that the cellphone is important and necessary. I can contact with others when I am outside. I can also keep in touch with others by SMS or call. And today the cellphone has many features and it gives me lots of entertainment. I especially like watching movies by my cellphone. When I go out, be sure I will bring my cellphone with me. I love China

I can live without it. Hahah! That's when a few years back when cellphone was not invented yet. It's not a necessity for everyone. It depends on what lifestyle you have. You see? If you are living simply in a far flung area I mean in very remote areas, who would want to have it when there is no signal?hahah! But for people like us who needs constant communication in this modern era, it's a necessity. Cellphone is of great use to us more importantly in emergencies.

I have a prepaid cell phone which I pay 25.00 a month. With my husband's doctors appointments and the fact that I have to walk all over the place I feel it is important to have one. I am trying to clean up my old debt and do not want to add any new debt which is why I went with a prepaid cell phone. Money is tight, but I always make sure that I have enough money to add minutes to my phone each month.

Any gadget can have both advantage and disadvantage effect on the person. It is advantageous if you are using a gadget like cell phone in a proper way. I usually use my cell phone in transacting business and a source of communication with my family members. I use it also to console friends with problems. But I do not use it to bully or send green jokes. But there are also many times that I don't browse my cellphone although I am bringing it. In other words, my life can go one without using it. It is disadvantageous if it is being abused. Nowadays, many are using it in a nonsense way. It's just a waste of load or a waste of money if you don't use it wisely.

Yes, I also agree that it is a necessity. We need to have some means of communication at all times, especially for emergency or for those who lives alone. Many can do without land line phones or smart phones, as mobile is the most efficient one, at least for me.

A phone can be a lifeline. Very important, as long as you don't go overboard and abbuse it. But, then again some may argue the reverse. Personally, my cell phone is my life line and without it, I wouldn't be online right now or anthing. So for me it's a basic need. And, its the only "phone" I have. I use it for everything.
