Well, after eight years Facebook has done it. They will be offering stock options by May 2012. Can you believe it? I would love to have some stock in FB. They have 800 million members now. What are your thoughts on this new developement?

Yes, it sure is. How much money does a person need anyway?

it depends on how much the stock costs by share. these days its a bit hard to buy stock in things.

I wonder how many dollars it will cost a share to start and how much every one wanting some will pump it up to? That could be a wild ride for a while.

I don't know but you could probably find out online. It takes patience to make anything. People hurry and sell when stock goes up alittle and end up not making much.

I think that facebook is certainly one of those ideas that boomed. I wonder how much the shares in that will be? I was watching on the news last night and they said that the population on facebook would equal the third most populated country in the world. That's a lot of people.

I have never tried hands at stock market, but this sounds quite captivating. With 800 million members I am sure it's going to be lucrative. Will seek for the details on internet.

You really have to be patient. Buy while the stocks are low. Watch them grow and then sell when they get up there.

With the 100 bn they raise the value will go up many fold, btw what do you think will be the listed price with or without premium?? How many shares do you intend buying?

oh i think this is a way for them to go on with their operations and to get more funding, perhaps. :D hehe.. but i do not know much about stock options, i think i will only lose money if their price goes down... and i seriously have no time to check it out all the time.

It may be awhile before it would be good to sell anyway. You want to sell when it is low and buy when low. You would have to watch it.

hi celticeagle I was just reading about it in the Register. wow 800 million members. I belong to facebook but truthfully I do not even like it that much.guess I am not that social or something but it gets more and more complicated so if you tried to do all the stuff others want you to do you would be on there all day every day . no= thanks mylotting is enough for me.But for all those who just love Facebook good going have right to it. I could really care less myself.

Yes, I heard last December that Facebook is going public with IPO. I thought it was a nice decision. But the time has come when people are getting bored of Facebook. I don't go to my own profile much and I keep getting their notification email everyday because of that. Unfortunately, it looks more like a spam.I am sure they will get many buyers. But they need to come up with some more features to keep Facebook more interesting.

I believe Facebook would be a really good investment for us. However, I have read in the news paper earlier that everything will still be controlled by Zuckerberg. We all know that investors always have a say whenever something goes wrong but according to what I have read, Zuckerberg would not allow that. He wants full control of the company even though there are already stockholders. He does not want to share his power to others. I do not know if that is wrong. I guess he is just afraid that some guy might take his company from him.

I wouldn't either. I would always keep controlling interest in such a site as Facebook. It would be a stupid move for him to give that up. Zuckerberg has never done anything dumb yet. Its amzing the opportunities that are out there. I think it is great to be able to share in something like this.

Well Zuckerberg has given the site eight years to evolve so I guess it couldn't get much better. I guess we will have to wait and see.
