20-inch waist!

20-inch waist - model Iona Spangenberg

I was astonished with the 20-inch waist of Romanian model Ioana Spangenberg. She says it is her natural waist line. Her hips is 32-inch and tabloids are referring to her as the human hourglass. She says that she eats three big meails and snacks on chocolates and crisps but still have small stomach – and that if she eats too much she’ll feel sick. No matter how I lessen my meal I could not even get the waist line that I want. So I stopped this so called dieting and enjoyed eating.

Model Ioana Spangengerg does not look normal with a 20 inch waist! She does not look natural! The way SPangergerg discribes the way she eats you'd think she had her stomached stapled! Anyway not many woman can look like her even if they tried! I like to eat but I eat way to much! I am obese and that is not good! it is like being the reverse of being to thin!

Yes I also think she doesn't look really natural, although she claims that she is. When she says that she fell sick when she eats much, I thought she might have some problems in her body as well. Me too, likes to eat so much

I used to have that size when I was in college But \now it's hard to have that waist line back. I love eating to so it's okay Since Thalia is not so tall, 18-inch waist line does not look odd on her.

hello friend! wow, thats very amazing! I coulndn't imagine that there is a human being living and with waist of just 20 inches...really a human hour glass. All I can say is, even we don't have a body like those who are sexy at least we have a healthy and fit body. Dieting is good as long as it keeps your body healthy.

Hi Greninee, Truly amazing waist and hips! I find it unbelievable and when I saw her modeling, I am the one who feels uncomfortable coz I feel like she will fell down anytime. Yeah sexiness cannot be measured by the size of our hips and waistline So better to just keep being healthy!

Models annoy me...i try really hard to not try to fit thier profile. i feel thier lifestyle is so unhealthy. i cant imagine a 20 inch waistline. i wish they would do away with these twig models completely. very few people really find that attractive an it sets such a bad role model for our girls..i love when companies like fashion bug use real Women to model for them. as for food..yes i love it an although i feel i got a few inches to loose i wont sacrifice my 29 inch waist over food...lol besides...my husband loves it. he dont want bones bangin on top of him. he says a woman should be soft. an i agree. now in regards to high metaboliism...he is very skinny sn fights to keep waight on. It makes me sick that he eats more for bkfst than i do all day....once i was tryin to loose an he was tryin to gain N was whining while piggin out on a mcdonalds big bkfst...gee i really feel ur pain...(eating my yogart parfiet) lets feel bad for u must b awful.....lmao

That's what I've heard with most of my guy friends in college too. They find a boobsy woman and those with big butts sexier. I haven't heard a guy yet praising how sexy a girl and pointing to her waist...

Hi cash4cards, For me, not all of them annoys me. Some looks really sexy and perfect. Iona is a little weird having such waistline. I also don't find her attractive. In fact when I saw her walking, I feel like the wind can easily push her down. And even using one finger to push her, she will fall flat on the floor. I was laughing reading your reply about food. Love to pig out too, normally I do it at home. It's hard to breathe when you have such big stomach already but your mouth still wants to eat more. They say eating more during breakfast is way better than eating a lot on lunch. 29 inch of waistline is okay for girls, not fat at all.. can be sexy too depending on the size of your chest, hips and behind

Does anyone know if this model has done any extreme corsetry? She kind of looks to me like that's what she's done. There is no way that could be all just natural - or maybe I am just jealous lol.

Don't worry about that signum. I also had a doubt when she claims it's all natural. I feel like she also put on corsets so much to make her waist that tiny.

OH enelym..I think my motto is best "FORGET THE WAIST...ENJOY THE TASTE!" Life is a lot about enjoying...and to me that includes good food that includes Chocolate..chocolate and more chocolate..and a little sip of Vodka to wash it down..LOL! 24" waist days have come..and GONE, and remembering the sacrifices to have a 24" waist...I'm glad they're gone!

Hi my dear pergmmano "FORGET THE WAIST...ENJOY THE TASTE!" same motto that I have these days. I usually take it lightly now when friends asked me why I gain weight every time they see a new photo of me. I always tell them that it is better to enjoy eating yummy foods than dieting Yummy chocolates, I hope to have some.. No more chocolates in the fridge now. Hi Aja, I do think some people are really mixing up vodka and chocolate bars. Hmmmn maybe we can try it one day.

Yeah Yahoo had an article on her a day or so ago and I read it and saw the video of her modeling and my mouth just dropped open, because this is the smallest waist I've ever seen. If it is her natural waistline then good for her for being comfortable in her own skin. I have to admit that when I first saw her waist I was kind of scared but that was just my first impression. I read other rude comments made about her on the yahoo comment section which were just awful. Whether skinny or with more curves everyone should be happy with their body. On that note I'm not at all that skinny and I wish I could be as comfortable as she is with her body with my body. I love food so just like you I don't see myself having that small of a waist, ever!

13 Inches!? That's just crazy. But It just so dangerous to do it using stuff like corsets. When I saw her it looks like she could easily break in half and I'm not saying that from a bad place; it's just that she looks very fragile.

Actually if you have seen Guinness World Records you would see that there is a lady there who got 13 inches waistline. She achieved it by putting on corsets and the result is having such a small waistline. I also got a bit scared when I saw her video coz I feel like she's gonna fell down anytime.

Yes that is what I also think would happen to her. I feel sad for her that I can't admire her when modeling, I am kinda concern about her falling off.

I had to see pictures of this woman, because of your discussion here, and I can tell you that this does not seems to be natural, is not even atractive, if you ask me, but when you see this girl´s face, arms, is so skinny, and frail, in apearance, that makes you think that it is no natural, but, she claims to be, who knows?....:) What I can say, judging from your avatar, and I hope you do not get this wrong, only a little cumpliment from a friend, you are far more attractive, so, do not care too much on diets, eat and be happy, as happy as you can. :)

Hi albto, Thanks for such a nice compliment ... don't worry I am not on diet. I just naturally lose some weight the past month... I try to eat more now to get some of my weight back. You're right, the lady in the photo doesn't look natural at all... I always feel she'd fall down if she walks.

I was reading about this woman earlier and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a photograph of her. The only woman I would describe as having an hourglass figure is the late, great Marilyn Monroe. In fact, I would love a photo of her on my bedroom wall. Certainly wouldn't go for Spangenberg!

In a way I actually feel sorry for her because she says her stomach is so small it's like having a natural gastric band in place. I once read a book by Dr Vernon Coleman and I always remember him saying that our stomachs are the size of our fist. Now, my stomach must've expanded a fair bit over the years (apparently, it's like elastic, it does that) and I sooo wish my stomach would actually go back to my fist size lol.

they are models, whatever they say other follows that the general perception. peoples are these days following the same agenda they are follwing the dieting chart exactly like celebrities do. i do not know where is she going to take that 20 inches waist, totally lost, i have more bigger arms than her. 21 inches. just imagine that how she look if she stand in front if me, i have bigger arms on comparison her with her waist.

Hi jaiho, In her story it was said that it is her husband who convince her to use her body in modeling because she has this natural waist size. It is just too add that at her age, her waist line is still the same but her hips is normal... I am now thinking whether it is really normal or like the other lady documented in Guinness World Records having I guess 13 inches waistline but that was gained because of putting corsets on her.
• India
7 Feb 12
corset is the design which i have made during one of my fashion show, thats other things back to the discussion. either her husband is good or bad? what you say. do you want that waist size as person will look very attractive in that shape, and womens will always wanted to grap attention.

I was surprise in the sense that it is not a normal body structure as you can see in most number of normal people. Maybe it is associated with his bone and muscle development during growth stage, or some body factors like hormone and metabolism. For some it looks fabulous but for others it is not fascinating. It's a great advantage for her modeling career but not for those who work with physical stuff, or else you might get some broken bones and muscle pain all the time.hehe!

Yeah I thought about that too. Even if she works in the mall as a saleslady I think it wouldn't feel great and she would always lose her balance while walking. I saw that same photo on the front of a news website yesterday and just about got sick. The woman doesn't even look human because she's so disgustingly proportioned. I wonder if she's ever checked out her torso and stomach region with a doctor to see if something is seriously wrong. She may have some type of genetic mutation that won't allow different parts of her body to grow correctly, etc. I really feel terrible for this woman, especially if she can't help it. I can't imagine having a body that doesn't even look human like hers. It also bothers me that the modeling industry in Romania looked at her and decided that she represented Romanian women; of course, they technically do that over here in America and the models are always super skinny with no hips to be found. I modeled years ago and left because of the habits of the industry; I knew models who actually ate tissues so it would absorb the excess liquid in their stomach and make them appear smaller, I knew models who were so skinny and told to lose weight, etc. It's a terrible industry, and if you are healthy going into it you won't be healthy once you come out of it. If I were this woman, I would try to get some help. A true hourglass is a curvy woman, and those women can look healthy, vibrant, and beautiful. This woman most certainly doesn't look healthy, and she doesn't look like she originated on the same planet as everyone else.

Eating tissue to absorb excess liquids?!? You mean, literally eating a tissue?!? Ohmy it's the first time I've ever heard of that. But coming from a then model like you, I believe that such things and many others that people from the modeling industry tells a model to do will have to really be done by the model. Or else, they might be kicked out from it. Iona might have not admit that she has some problems.. BUt just saying that she feel sick when she's eating much can somehow reveal that she is anorexic.

The body's just a big chemistry-set anyway ... there are no "wrong" chemicals to use in the chemistry-set, as long as you keep them all balanced (with other foods, exercise, and ... medicine). Don't think of your diet as 'just the food you eat'; include also the actions you take, and use EXERCISE to balance your diet! And you'll have exactly the hips and waist you need.
