Ocean Spray CranCherry Ad about getting one free

The Ocean Spray ad for their new drink CranCherry is misleading at best and fraudulent at worst. They say go to oceanspray.com to get one free. Well, it turns out it isn't free, it is a coupon to get one free when you buy one. To me that isn't free; something isn't free if you have to buy something to get it. Now if they had said in the ad what it really was than that would have been O'K, but they didn't.

Yep, to me, that's a con and I'm being treated as if I'm stupid. I would not participate in such a promotion in principle.

Just "strings attached" mstickle...and thats the way things are these days. The item they mention is free. Its the old "read the fine print" come-on. I do it as it cut the cost in half and that is good for me. I wish I had another coupon for the one I paid for...you know...50 cents of one Ocean Spray and then I could use that on the one I paid for, and then get the other free. They aren't treating us like we are stupid...just making us work for the savings!

Technically it was free. You didn't have to pay for it...you just had to buy something else in order to not pay for the second one. I did that offer. I like the juice but it tends to be expensive, so I thought I'd save the coupon for when it goes on sale..luckily it was on sale for $2.99 this week, so I bought the regular one at full price $2,99 and got the cherry one for free. On this kind of thing, I tend to look at it as not FREE, but as half price. I got each for $1.50 and that is a good deal. What I hated more was that it had to go through Facebook! You had to log into your account, "like" their page and then you could print a coupon! But only one! So I did that, and then went back and "unlike" the page. That is what annoys me the most...having to go through all that just for the coupon!

Back in the day ...that is what it would have meant. But these days...there is always strings attached! I like ocean spray..just always to expensive. But both of these flavors are good. Even add some 7-Up for a nice fizzle. That item them mention...is free.

I like Ocean Spray products. A few people will print the coupon and be surprised to find its buy 1 get 1 free. Its not a problem for me, as we buy the product already. My husband will use the coupon. Its a great coupon for people that use this product.

You must already have some interest in their other products to be considering this offer in the first place...How different can it be from a regular cranberry drink you might have tried before (And,I presume, enjoyed?) already for you to not want to try it out unless there was a no strings attached freebie involved? If You haven't already done so,try Telling your story to Ocean Spray's customer services and see if they'll improve on the offer for You...

I have never had Ocean Spray since cranberries or cranberry juice are not really something I like. I was interested because of the cherry. I like cherries and saw recently on a doctor TV show that cherry juice can help you to sleep which is something I sometimes have a problem. But pure cherry juice is very expensive. So I thought might give a mixture a try to see if it would help since it appeared to be free. But it turned out not to be and since I have big doubts about a drink like this crancherry by Ocean Spray doing much, I'm not willing to pay for it to find out.

Not having seen this product as yet,I'm guessing as it's an ocean spray one,it's likely heavy on the cranberry and light on the cherry..probably not what you're after..

From what you are telling me in your discussion, I seem to see a flop. If something is free, in my opinion should be at 100%. Otherwise all other ways, it is always a fee required!
