When we have resolved our discussions, can others still respond to it?

They'll keep responding if it is interesting enough. I have had discussions 5 years old and resolved, and had people still respond to it..resolving only shows that you found the best response, it doesn't mean others can't or won't still respond.

hi Aja I am pretty sure once you h ave resolved the discussion it will reappear under the tab started with all your other discussions so everyone can still respond to it. I have been here going on five years and I think thats what happens after you resolve it.I know our discussions stay here on mylot for ages and ages so its probably back in started.

Our making the best response does not limit others to respond. The purpose of this discussion is not for mylotters competing one another.

I can not tell precisely what happens from the moment we choose the "best answer". At first I was told that the topic was closed, but then a user has denied this claim. I honestly do not tend to "give" best answer ever since the first of all it is difficult to evaluate which is better, even when many are valid, then surely the people who are "discarded" clearly there remain sad.

as far as i know you can still respond, because i have recieved responses to discussions that i have selected a best response for.. i'm nearly sure. but i could be mistaken?

No matter how many times a discussion is responded to weather they are given a best response or not or weather someone has or hasn't responded to it. It'll remain on mylot to be found either through a search or through that person name and looking at the discussions they've created. The only time they will be taken down is if its a violation to the rules.

Yes, I have responded back to many discussions from time to time that have already been resolved. I know there are many here who will not, but just because a discussion has been resolved, does not mean it is closed and no one will ever respond back to it. And you will also earn something from responding back to the discussion no matter how old it is. So if you see a discussion that you are interested in feel Free to respond back and have Fun.

Hi Aja! Even if you already selected a best response to your discussion, other people will still be able to respond to it. Resolving it doesn't mean it will disappear or will not be discovered by others. It will still be there for people to see and respond.

Hi aja... I started a discussion on this issue months ago. I wondered when i tried to respond to a discussion and found it was already marked best response where as the discussion was not over than 1 hour till that time. I dont know why people jump so quickly to resolved their discussions. Newbies might do that but i dont wish the same veterans. At least i wait for more than months..... Have a nice time.

It won't affect the discussion. You can select the best response anytime you want and still everyone can respond to your topic. Sometimes we choose a best response even with few comments becoz we felt that, that particular response is the best answer. So, don't worry- the resolved discussion can still be responded by others.

Choosing a best response only would mark it "resolved" - hence it would no longer in your "unresolved" list [http://www.mylot.com/nr/myunresolved.aspx], and nothing else happened. It should be available for all members to respond, there are no such "closed discussion" in myLot anyway.. Well, except if a discussion was being deleted by Admin..

Hi Aja, What I observed and often do is not to mind if there were any best response selected. Most people usually keeps giving responses even when there is already a best response as long as they think it is interesting enough for them to share their own views and experiences on a certain discussion.

Even though I give a best response to my discussion, there are still some mylotters who responded to it. I like it because they find it interesting and I get more inputs. The more responses the more information I get. I think your discussion will still be showed up even though you already chose the best response. They can still respond to it unless the admin deleted your it. Happy mylotting!

I've wondered the same thing, being fairly new I have some questions still unanswered. I have not tried to give a best response to any of my discussions yet but maybe soon.

I searched here lots of Resolved discussions again also responded. I observe that the discussion is resolved best answer till the discussion starter keep the eye for some days. And choose the best one from that. Also the responders after responded the discussion that Query has some New ideas too. That's really Good thing from this one.

Hello Aja, That's the beauty of MYLLOT that anyone anytime can respond to any discussion.There is no such thing like "thread is closed" as it happens in many sites.Here on MYLOT one can respond to 5~6 years old discussion too resolved or unresolved.
