Bacon Milkshake?

Jack In The Box Restaurants will start making this secret atrocity. Sadly it's only got bacon flavored syrup in it... not even bacon bits. One would think they could atleast do that much in place of sprinkles and a cherry! *lol* Would you try such a combination? I like the salty and sweet combination but I think pureed together like this would not suit my fancy. Would you try this if it was available to you? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/07/bacon-shake-jack-in-the-box_n_1260440.html

Ewwww, no. I like bacon but not in wierd things. Imagine having bacon ice cream, bacon tea, bacon chocolate cake, those are just not for me. To me bacon is just bacon and should be used in traditional foods or eaten by itself. No crazy combos for me, please.

as much as i like bacon, that sounds pretty gross. i don't know why somebody'd need or want meat in a milkshake.

No idea either. I know there's a company that's been infusing bacon flavor in alot of products. I like you don't think a milk shake is a winning idea beyond the "salty n sweet" type person but I think mixed togeather like that defeats the way our mind could process the flavor conbination.

The Bacon Milkshake also known as the Man Milkshake, has bacon flavoring in it. Is it tasty? Maybe. Is it healthy? I would think not.

When is anything consisting of bacon and tons of sugar ever healthy?

It's also 400 extra calories WITHOUT real bacon!!! I think I'll make my own milkshake (whatever flavor sounds good at the time) & cook my own bacon & you can bet my bacon won't be wasted in the milkshake!!!

Bacon doesn't make it out of the pan long in my house. I don't need bacon flavoring, if I'd be a fool enough to try it, it better have real bacon!

I'm a fan of salty and sweet too but I'm hesitant to add meat in as my "salty" item.

I posted a link to a similar article on my cousin's wall on FB the other day because she is obsessed with bacon. There is a Jack in the Box a few buildings down from my work. I might just have to see if they carry it. I would be interested in trying it out. Sounds weird, but you never know. I do like the salty sweet combo.

I don't think I would try that if my life depended on it! I was never one to like sweet and salty together anyway. And it said something about over 1000 calories and that is a turnoff by itself! I don't care for Jack-in-the-box anyway so that just gives another reason to reject it.

I heard from a couple different people and seen some cooking shows were people say it's really good, but for me I like my bacon separate from my shake. I never tried it but it just sounds gross and usually I'm right about those things, at least when it comes to my taste buds.

I think it has to do with the price. Real bacon is way more expensive as a fake syrup. Personally I would never taste it. I would also not eat ice cream with bacon or drink milk with bacon. I already find it amazing a syrup with bacon flavour does exist.

Sadly I don't doubt that science could come up with immitation bacon flavoring. How much of any real flavoring is in anything we eat that's processed? Plus if they used real bacon they'd have to buy it dried or take the time to cook real bacon, crumble it and then puree it some how.

This sounds disgusting to me, I don't think I would ever try it. Sounds like such a bad combination. I don't think it will be a nice flavor, not sure if many will like to try this flavor either
