I was called Moonbeam by dad at times, and "ant" on occasion. Some kids and relatives have called me "Annabanana". One neighbor used to call me Annie alllll the time. Did you have any interesting nics?

My grandmother, aunt and uncle, and my cousins all called me 'Evvie'. It wasn't that interesting of a nickname but just a shortened version of my name. I used to be okay with it until i got older and then it bothered me. And as my grandmother got older she would call me by my mother's name sometimes.

Beautiful name, Eve. When I wanted kids, that was one of the names I had picked out, no kidding! I love how it's simple yet elegant.

Evvie is a cute nic, but I could see how it might irritate you as you got older. Sometimes we just want outgrow our old nics and move on.

everyone called me "BUGA" . It's a tagalog word for puking or throwing up. they said, I was always like this when I was a toddler. They also called me "NENE". It's a common nic for young girls in the PHilippines, but when a tv series was titled the same name and it was a little sexy tv series with a young girl, the nic "Nene" was not as innocent as it used to be. When I turn 20, they stop calling me these nics, I don't like it, I ignore them whenever they call me by these hehehe.

You were always throwing up as a toddler? Oh my, I hope you weren't always sick like that. It takes alot out of a child to be so sick. I like the nic Nene, very cute. I can see why it might have made you unhappy to be called that as you got older. Did ignoring it work? Sometimes I wonder how to ignore some things like that.

My real name is Theresa and my family always called me Tess. Majority of my friends call me Terry. My bestfriend call me Therese and my favorite cousin call me Tessie. But growing up, I was mostly called Tess. I was also called Princess Tess but it was sarcastic because my sister tells me that I act like a princess because I do nothing around the house and expect everything to be perfect lol.

Tessa, LOL that is typical of a sister to call you Princess Tess, thinking you do nothing around the house. I bet you did alot of things that just went unnoticed. I like the fact Tess comes from the name Theresa, lovely!

My name is Mary Catherine, so people had a terrible habit of calling me Mary Kay. This often sparked the whole "Mary Kay Cosmetics" joke. But to make it worse my maiden name was Way. Imagine going through childhood with the nickname Mary Kay Way? Ughhhhh.

Hannah, LOL thanks for making me giggle, Mary Kay Way--too funny. My name was almost Penny and me having another "money" related last name it would have been ridiculous if that had been a reality. I'm glad my mom chose the name Anne, instead.

Oh like "string bean" right? That is a typical nic for a skinny person, hehehe. Teeniny is probably meant as "tiny"? Jennie is probably a take on your real name. Well, I'm sure you knew what your rela name was, it's just human nature to give and remember names like that. I have given my cats plenty of nic names and I really don't think they all knew they had a name at all, LOL.

My fiances mom calls him boy and it drives us both crazy. Every time she talks to him it's boy this or boy that and it makes me wanna smack her. Maybe it's because me and her just don't get along but then again even when we did it was like really? You named your son for a reason. He has other nick names but they are not boy. If you wanted to call him boy you should have named him boy or atleast something to do with boy. Litterally like everyday she will call an be like "boy come here and do this for me" or something along those lines or she will get on his Facebook and be like "boy call me", "boy you have mail here", boy I need someone to wipe my butt for me. Ect And I just kinda bite my tounge and sit on my hands lol Sorry I just had to give my input on this one lol

Well, 'boy' is a pretty low key nic, nothing wrong with it, unless of course you're a girl, LOL. Mater wow, that is very distinguishing. I bet you prefer the latter name than just "boy"?

Oh my gosh, I wouldn't wanna be called "boy" either if I were him and yes that would really bug me too. It's just tacky and not treating him with much respect. I bet if you mention it to her she gets mad and still does it anyways. I have seen that type of person, so I know. A name is always a nice thing to call someone, I agree. Thanks for your input, it was meaningful and I appreciate your sharing with me!

Other than Des or Desi (short for Desiree) I never really had a nickname other than one person (my cousin's aunt on the other side of her family) called me Rabbit because I have always been able to wiggle my nose like a rabbit. Recently I have discovered, however, in addition to wiggling it up high toward the bridge, if I concentrate really hard I can make just the tip of my nose wiggle...then it really DOES look like a bunny nose!

Awe, thats cute about the wiggling your nose, I can't wiggle mine--how depressing is that. Rabbit seems like a fitting name that you had.

I remember in my childhood, in the street where I grew up, friends of the bar, called me "Provolino". Initially I did not know to whom they refer television character, but In the course of time, I understood. It was a puppet who often appeared on talk shows and saying it honestly was not beautiful !

Provolino? I have not heard of that character, but it is sad that it wasn't a beautiful one, I'm sure they were just teasing you.

My mom and brothers called me AJ , my initials. My dad always called me "Big guy". I'm not kidding. Thinking back, it didn't really make sense because I wasn't that big at all. Maybe he had a different meaning behind the nickname. Maybe, he meant that I was confident as a kid. I might never find out.

Well, AJ is a common nic, many people have gone by initials. I have had a cat that I called PK which stood for Pretty Katt, which my brother named her. Well, many parents sometimes refer to their kid as "big Guy" in jest, it is a term of endearment although it might not seem like it to some, thats how I see it. I'm sure he knew you were a confident kid, all parents think great things about their children if they are proud of you.
