Do any of you mylotters ever answer so many discussions that you have to start some or go to the older ones so you have enough to stay busy on here?

When I have time off after catching up on my own disscussions and commenting on them I do like sometimes to go digging about in the past and answer old discussions. One of my hobbies on mylot when time is to go into the no responses section and go back lots of pages and see if I can answer any discusions from weeks ago that have fallen through the net and get them brought back into the present so hopefully they will get more people to reply to their discussions once I have brought them back up to date with everyone. Sometimes I dig back into my old discussions and bring them back into play, espically if I haven't got around ot answering all the comments. Hope this helps my friend

Yes. Annie. You are a very special and good person. I do appreciate what you do and how it helps me out and I am sure that everyone else you do this for feels exactly the same way.

I do read more than answer and start discussion. It would be nice to suddenly have an inspiration and start a topic, then see the responses coming in. Sometimes my mind is so blank that I just browse around without typing a single word, I hope such days are few and far in between. I don't mind how old a discussion is, as long as I find it interesting and am able to add something of value into it.

You know, I used to do that alot. But later I picked up and started responding and starting more. I am still not that big on starting. Now last 2 or 3 days I have started a few but normally I don't start that many. I just answer.

I know the feeling. Now I just do whatever I feel like it, don't need to force myself to do anything.

All the time, I only post a discussion when I feel I have an interesting one so I usually just respond to other peoples topics.

It has. I don't think I would ever be able to work that much or fast or keep up like that. Course, I don't have the time right now to try. Monday or Sunday evening or Wednesday evenings are the most time I can spend so I can concentrate.

Hello Chrstaltears, It happened with me once when i had responded to so many discussions and could not found more discussions to respond then i went to the old discussions to respond on.In most of the cases when i don't find the interested discussions i start my own which keeps me busy in commenting to the responses.

I always run out of discussion so I just responded to discussions old and new as long as I have something to respond.

You must really work busy and fast. I have never run out of discussions to responds to. I have run out discussions I want to answer. There are some I know nothing about, so I don't know what to say. I tried saying something like I don't know anything about that, I haven't heard of that, I will research it, and then my answer got deleted. So if I am not familiar, I stay away from it.

Totally! It's kind of a toss-up: which is better, responding to OLD discussions or starting a brand new one on the same/similar topic? I'm not sure which is better in MyLot's eyes. Often times I run out of discussions to start, so I'll just end up responding to some or taking a break for a while until I come up with some more discussion ideas. I don't think it matters if our discussion isn't 100% original, as that seems impossible with the mass amounts of discussions here on MyLot. I know that sometimes I will think of topics while I'm at work or reading a magazine at home or even when I'm driving, and I try to jot them down in my phone or on a piece of paper to save for later. Because it seems like whenever I am sitting in front of the computer, I suddenly have writers block and forget all of my good ideas. Also, when I am uninspired or bored, I start hanging around in certain interests. For example, for some reason, today has been my day to respond to discussions made in the "reading" interest. I don't know why all of a sudden reading has caught my eye so much today (although I am definitely an avid reader). I must have responded to 25 or so 'reading' related discussions today. . And I'm not done yet! Ha ha, I'm not even sure if this answered your question or not. LOL. I must be on discussion overload right now!

You sound for full of cheer and fire, I don't think it really matters which you do. You give great answers. I guess one of the reasons you give alot of reading answers IS because you are an avid reader. Can't figure out why only today tho. Who knows. Humans can be strange sometimes. Is that the right word?

Not really, there is always a discussion to discuss. I never experienced having double discussions or I do not know the other term. What makes me busy here is reading other discussions hoping to learn something new and response if there is any experience that I would like to share.

Yeah. I've never run out either,, but I am not real swift at this. I have to think alot, and the reading of all the responses takes a whole lot of time seriously. If I didn't read all the responses, I might run out of discussions, I just don't know.
