Have you suffer from back ache? What cause of your back ache? Do you drink medicine or go to the therapist? Yesterday I do lots of household chores, laundry, cleaning the house and after that I felt a little swollen on my shoulder down to the spinal. I did not mind because my intention is to finished my chores. Later in the afternoon I was already finished the pain getting worst. I don't know what to do my mother told me to put some liniment to east the pain or drink some pain killer medicine. Actually I do that both after an hour it slightly ease the pain. I'm planning to have an back massage I hope it will gone totally.

Hi lynboobsy! I do have the occasional back ache. I have had a couple of professional massages in the past and they are great. Just be sure to drink a lot of water afterwards. They say if you don't that you might get flu like symptoms because of the toxins it releases in your bloodstream to be flushed away. The water helps to flush them. I also really like taking long hot baths. I have put Epson salt in the water before and it is really good for taking out the soreness. Sometimes my job requires a lot of lifting so it is important to take care of the back. After this discussion, I might have to schedule on of those massages..lol.

I have a slipped disc so I have low back pain which goes down my leg. I have been advised to do exercises to strengthen my back. It really helps when I go to the gym. I love massages but it does not necessarily help my back. I went to a chiropractor and the first treatment really helped but the pain came back. And further treatments did not help. OTC medications do not help and I will not take prescription medications because they can be addicting or habit forming. Resting might help you. A massage might help but if your back pain continues, see a doctor.

You might also try ice on your back. A soak in a hot bath might help. And aspirin or an aspirin alternative. But if nothing helps and the back pain continues, do see a doctor. I wish that I had seen a doctor earlier. I might have saved myself some pain and damage.

I do have back ache and I have hip ache, and leg ache. I used to go to a choropractor for a while, but I was shown some things to do that will give me immediate temporary relief. When it hurts again, sometimes I put heat or ice on there and it really helps. I also have an anointment that I rub on and it's like a miracle worker. I have to pick up my 2 year old grandson alot, but I try to be very careful!

Hi! I was once having severe back ache after coughing. Yeah, it is true. Coughing can also cause back ache. I almost can't walk due to the pain. and the worst thing is it was on the new year eve. So, I went for a massage and the pain subsided after 1 week, the whole week I was just lie down and can't really walk and move much. It took me almost a month to be totally cured. A proper massage will definitely work. You should get it done as soon as possible before it worsen.

At the office, I had a nice chair that supports my back so I don't have back problems there. It's only at home that I suffer back aches when I spend much time working on the laptop. Like you, I also apply liniment or other pain killer and if the pain still exist, I immediately plan to have a full body massage.. It really helps in easing the pain..

I have back issues too and get pain alot. I have scoliosis so that doesn't help me much either. Trying to excercises to help your back and if that doesn't work i would consult you're doctor and have him do some xrays to see what is wrong with your back. It's not good to keep relying on medicine to ease the pain without knowing the real cause. Good luck and hope you get this figured out or it stops bothering you.

I have heard backache since the time I had my epidural during child birth and every time I do some house chores, I end up having this terrible type of backache. I do not take anything and only get massage sometimes, though it does not last long before my back start aching again.

Today when you are sleeping keep pillow under your buts. Try to avoid sleeping right side sleep at heart side only. Keep warm water pressure to the backbone. Try to massage that area with some one else. This all will make relieve from pain.

Doing household chores also causes me backache when I overdo it. It is triggered by fatigue and stress on the back. Lifting heavy objects, poor body mechanics and improper posture also cause back ache. To relieve the pain I usually apply liniment, body massage and lying flat on my back when I sleep at night. If the pain is moderate to severe I usually took ibuprofen as indicated and I also drink plenty of water. I think avoiding too much stress on the back can prevent us from having severe back problem when we grow old.

I have been suffering from backache since I was like 18 years old. Sprain. That day I am having difficulty of standing straight, I was like an old lady with osteoporosis. Then my back is swelling and it hurts like hell. I had massage that night, but it gets worst. I recommend for you to seek a professional care, massage is not good option. It will make things worse.

Me too, I usually suffer back ache every after washing my clothes. This is due to the uncomfortable posture we do during washing like curling our back. I usually ask my partner to massage my back when i am about to sleep and it just feels right after then.

Please don't take pain killer they are harmful to health. Take some rest today if it is still paining means consult doctor immediately. Because of heavy work you got pain.
