what do you think of taking wedding dress photoes?

My girlfriend and I are considering going to take wedding dress photoes in a few days. There are some friends who suggested us that it is not necessary to take a lot of photoes. They have that experience and they are regretful taking so much, because there is not enough room to place them, and they seldom see them.
In my opinion, It is the only chance to take the wedding dress photoes in one's whole life, so whatever you spend is worthy. In china, you have to spend $1000 to $1500 to take these photoes, which is the average salary of one month.
Do you have that experience? Do you think it is worthy?

I'm afraid I'm not sure I understand the question.
Are you talking about taking photos of your wedding dress, at your wedding?
Or just going you and your girlfriend to take some shots both dressed as bride and groom (no wedding)?

In that case, you will get about 100 pictures taken by the professinal photographer. Your girlfriends can be dressed in many different kinds of dresses in the photo studio. Of course, you have to pay for them. Even the professinal photographer could go to the beautiful place to take the photoes for you. Maybe your girlfriend is more willing to do this, because they think their beauty can be capture in their limited young age.

Oh well, in that case I don't really see why you would want to do that...
I mean, why would you want to take that kind of photos? It's not even your wedding, or a wedding altogether.

I hired a college student who did a great job of taking photos. I also had several family members who took pictures as well. I keep my pictures in a photo album and look at them often. Your wedding day is the one of the most important days of your life and you should have a lot of pictures. I have been married almost 5 years and love looking at the pictures and also seeing pictures of all the trips we have taken together.

the picture was taken after the wedding and as soon as I get my printer fixed then I will post my wedding pictures up. We still wear our hats and love them. I cannot wait until we renew our vows which will be next year.

Having wedding photos is traditional in the United States. If you use a good photographer they are very expensive. However, it is a special time in your life and you end up with a keepsake album to remember that special day over and over again. I think it is a good idea, but you need to save for them and be economical when you can.

You know I am from China. I still think that taking the wedding dress photos are necessary since you may just get married once in your whole life. You shall leave some sweet memories. As to the price, I think you don't have to choose those expensive photo studio. The price around RMB5000 is already good enough.

Why not, it's worth it.
It won't happen everyday and it only comes once in a lifetime.
It's also nice to have a pre-wedding shots because most of the shots during the wedding are stolen one.
So, pre-wedding shots is really good.
Go for it.

My wedding, I feel like there were not enough photo's taken. I wish I had more.
My sister is getting married soon and she is going to make sure they have tons of photo's!! I think more is better because it is one of the best days of your life! You will never be able to capture those moments again. I think those photo's are priceless. =)

Maybe I didn't make myself very clear. 'wedding dress photoes' means that before the wedding, we will go to the wedding dress photo shop intensionally and pay for the special photoes captured by some proffesional photographer. However, you are right that it is one of the best days of your life. The photoes of wedding are priceless.
