stop blaming the dog meat eating to Asians

I am so sick of some foreigners who will automatically assume I eat dog meat cos I am of Asian descent. Not all Asians eats dogs and the dog eaters in the so called dog eating countries is just a minority for most Asians nowadays keeps them as pets,
I'm just pissed cos some ignorant foreigner from a country I wont mention ask me if I eat dog. Its just insulting, I dont judge the dog eaters,Its cultural difference and people should just respect each other's difference. I think the dogs used for meat consumption are not the ones we kept as pets, Its a breed bred for their meat, yet many westerners still have an assumption that some Asian person will steal their pet and kill it.
One more thing, there are 2 European countries were people eats dog meat, yet they were not being judged for it.
Also some hunters in a Western country somewhere eats Coyote meat, Coyotes are related to dogs and they can even get a dog pregnant vice versa.
Please stop stereotyping....
Also to some westerners out there, never ask an Asian person if they eat dog, cos that question is insulting.

there's a small region in my country which the people there eat dog meat too, but i'm not from there and i don't eat dog meat... i hope i don't come across foreigners who assume i eat dog too...

I actually encountered 1 in mylot before, 1 year ago in a discussion about Filipino cuisine, there was this mylotter from a certain country that i wont mention, shamelessly asked Filipinos if they eat dogs. i tried to be civil with that person but I wont deny I was offended.but we should not judge people for what they eat though, its their life.

We are all judged and while you were unfairly judged, you aren't the only one being jduged and nor will you be the last one being judged. I'd say forget the ignorance of those who can't research the topic and yet assume just because your of Asian decent you are a Dog Eater.
Don't worry about it, just let them be.

though dog eating is part of some Asian cultures, I hate it when some westerners have the perception that their Asian neighbors will kidnap their dogs and eat it. when the dogs eaten in Asian is a certain breed. Its only a minority of Asians eats dog. yet the stereotyping is still huge.

Yeah, people seem to judge the whole class of people. I understand how you would feel,alot of the Asian class of people also like dogs for companion ship. It doesn't mean they all eat dog meat. I haven't heard of the Europeans being judged like that.People who are judge mental are ignorant to say things so stupid.

Dogs are killed in Poland for making lard, Though its not commercialized, its also eaten in Switzerland. Its also part of the cuisine in some African countries yet Asians always get the blame.

Keep cool.
Some of us (pinoys) also do the same thing.
I have a family friend here and also said same thing.
They feel sorry whenever a pinoy (Filipino) saw them and mistaken them as one of those who are in lending money business (5/6)
They were annoyed at first too, but get used to it.
So,it's like a trademark.
If other races mistaken us Asians as dog eaters- so be it.
It's like how other races known other races for being liberated.
Or other races are known as gamblers,gangsters,lovers etc.
I wouldn't care if someone approached me and ask if I eat dog meat.
I might smile and think how in this modern time that person still haven't known how the world changed.
Or I should ask the person- what year is it now?

well dog meat have rabies and some parasites that cooking cant kill. the only one who have rights to whine about animal cruelty due to eating meat are vegans. I think its hypocritical to complain about animal rights due to eating an animal's meat while they eat meat. The stereotyping to asians is annoying though. When Dog meat is actually eaten in Switzerland,and someparts of africa too.
Plus in Ancient Mexico. Chihuahuas are bred for meat

actually every dog have rabies, but most dog eaters gets the side effects when they were elderly,,,,but all meat gives u cancer anyway.

yet we are still being generalized by some ignorant people out there to the point its not funny anymore. Cajuns of the US eats alligators and people dont mind them. Dog is also eaten in Switzerland and they have no controversy.
