My mother recommended me to date someone she met on my cousin's baby shower. At first i was hesitant at all coz i not really interested with a seaman. They gave my cp number to him and we became textmate for 6months and even i find it boring texting with him i dunno why there's something about him that makes it interesting. So to make the story short, the one my mother recommended was the one i married for three years now and we are celebrating anniv this coming march. :d

Hi friend! That only means you two are really meant to be,happy for both of you! Your mom knows that you're in a good man. I know your hubby is a good person,my hubby sometimes tells stories about his good friends at work. Advance Happy Anniversary to both of you!

I don't like that way of dating either, I dislike being set up or going on blind dates. They almost ALWAYS never work out or it's awkward. And like you said way too formal and puts too much pressure on both the people to like each other. I don't like "date" dates unless it's with someone that I instantly have a connection with, which is hard enough to find. I know what you mean about being single, I am 21 and I am too, and my mom is always trying to get me to go on a date with so and so, but I usually just say no. I think there are better places to meet people, just not sure where. . Happy MyLOTTING!

When I was a teen my friends would hook me up with friends of their boyfriends. They were usually nice enough but not Mr. Right by any stretch. I have met my husbands by moving into a new apartment complex and there was a guy in the apartments, also met a guy through relatives, and one on at my work. It just depends. I would check out your work, places you like to go. Have your friends have a party and meet some new people. ETc. try new things and places.

Hi there! My parents did not arranged anything for my love life,I guess the reason for this is because I had my first boyfriend at the age of 17 and they know I can find my true love by myself. My partner in life now was my bestfriend. I actually said no to him many times 'cause I don't want my bestfriend to be my boyfriend. But he was too patient with me and so sincere and so I fell in love with him too. We've been in a relationship for more than 10 years then after that,we got married.

My parents choice for me I did not choose and seeing the way he turned out I am glad I didn't. I met my husband who I have been married to for 7 years in a chatroom online. It worked great for us. He is my soul mate. It works for some people. I am more than happy with my choice. =)

Well, my parents have not recommended someone for me to date. They just allow me to choose for my own. I believe love can wait. Thus, I didn't look for it to come rather I just had had enjoyed my self being single then and just let destiny works on my love life in God's time. Luckily, I found my love match without me doing an effort to find her. And I am just so blessed God have given her to me. She's my everything now. And I love her so much to die.

I met my partner through one of my friends who I had only met a few weeks before he introduced me to my current partner. I saw him in town and I wasn't sure whether I should say hello to him because he was with another man, but I chose to say hello and then went for a drink with them and the rest, as they say, is history. I am very glad that this day happened because if it hadn't, I would never have been able to get with my partner and my life would have been very different after that, and not in a good way either.
