My sister took me to a concert last night. It was fun and a good show. We went to see Miranda Lambert, Chris Young and Jerrod Nieman. I have not been out anywhere fun for six months so it was really nice! I was watching when she got close to the fans by the stage, they tried grabbing her hand and they were going a little crazy trying to get to her. I just find it weird how some of the fans were so crazy and flipping out when she got close to them... She is just a person like the rest of us. What makes people so crazy about celebrities? Your thoughts. (The concert was SO much fun!!)

I often wonder the same thing about people going so crazy over celebs. I mean don’t get me wrong, there are a few celebs that I utterly adore, and their music makes me really happy, and I would enjoy meeting them to thank them for what they have given me, but I would be excited! .. just as I would be excited to go somewhere, or do something, or see a friend I’ve not seen in a long time. No more, no less. I don’t understand these people getting so overwhelmed that they actually act crazy.. if I were a celeb that would actually put me off wanting to meet a fan!

if they wanted to give me some of their money i would dance around on stage shouting their name with my underwear on my head haha! failing that they will get treated like anyone else i meet lol!

Okay so I am not the only one! Thank goodness. Lol. Yeah I just do not see the point in all that. They are people that have a talent (like plenty of us) but they got lucky enough to be noticed! Thats it. I don't understand what the point is either. I have too many things in real life to think about rather than fantasies. So what they have loads of money, if they wanted to give me some money then maybe I would go crazy for them!! Lol.

I have been to many concerts years ago. I never got close to the stage in all those years. But I do remember when I used to go to a club called Lamour here in Brooklyn, I was real close to some awesome bands like KISS, Ace Frehley, Bonham and many others. Those were great days. I hope you enjoyed the concert.

I did love the concert. I am glad I was back far enough where I was not getting pushed the whole time so they could touch them!

Whenever I would go to Madison Square Garden I always wound up on the second level by the rail. I was never pushed around and the view was always unbelievable. The best part of that was no one sitting in front of me. I wish I could go back to those days and di it all over again.

It is so lovely that your sister took you to see a concert. I know that people like celebrities because they are known people that are very fun indeed. Everyone has favorites and musicians can be one because their tunes are fantastic. I have been to two concerts n my lifetime: Madonna and Duran Duran. My mom's friend bought tickets for a Madonna concert in 1986 and I was 14 years old at that time. I looked more like 18 years old and my sister is five years older than me at 19 years old. My mom's friend was not able to attend the Madonna concert so she gave us the tickets. Due to looking much older I got in fine. We really enjoyed the concert very much indeed. In 1989 my ex-boyfriend took us to a wonderful Duran Duran concert. It was very enjoyable indeed and I won't ever forget it. I haven't been to anymore concerts in my days since then.

Glad you had a good time. Yes, some fans get overly rambuctious. That is one reason most stars have body guards. Fans just feel such a kinship with the star and they get emotional and excited. And then with the crowd I think that can make it even worse sometimes.

I did have fun! It was my first concert so it was nice. Yeah it was crazy because they were pushing people out of the way just to touch them... I don't get it. If they were giving me some of their money I might get that excited but thats about it! Lol.

I don't know lovingmybabies why some of the fans feel that way. There's somethng in them that is not in me, cause I have been at many concerts when I was younger, and I never acted that way. I guess everyone is just different. My sister and I went to see Billy Joe Royal and loved him and people had to tell us to sit down so they could see better, but we didn't try to grab him or anythings like that.

Yeah, going to a concert is really interesting thing to do and people go wild and crazy meeting their idol. But the idols are also the normal person like we are. They are just talent and i feel really excited when i meet my idol and after that,i feel kind of depressed.anyway, life continues, maybe we should keep it fresh after that.Make our life interesting.

It was fun. The people seemed crazy to me because I don't have idols like that. They are just people like us with a talent who is lucky to have been noticed. Thats it...

I have friends who are local music celebrities, went with them to their gigs, and I've seen the type which you described. At times, they looked either funny or annoying but when you get used to it they all just seem fun to have. I don't usually like crowds that's why I would rather spend time at the backstage, I know it's not as fun as jamming with the rest in front but it's okay with me. It's nice to know you had a good time. It's been long since I have had one. I am actually invited again tonight for another event by my friends but I have doubts going because I don't really feel like partying or hanging out. I sound like the ultimate loner, right? Oh well, that's just me.

Thats cool that you got to see them all the time and go to their gigs. Yeah they seemed a little crazy to me but maybe thats because that was my first concert. I don't know. I did have a good time. You should go out more and have fun! Everyone deserves that. =)

I don't really understand it either with the exception of admiring their talents..there are a few though that no one should respect like Charlie Sheen....sounds like a wonderful concert you got to go to.....I love Chris Young...he's my fav right now!

Yeah I understand admiring someone's talent but being obsessed with the person seems silly to me. There are tons of people with talent, they just have not been lucky enough to be found yet. But were all people. =) It was a good concert! The first one I have ever been to. =)

That sounds fun. I just went to a concert in December, to a rock band called Avenged Sevenfold. If I was in the front row, I would be freaking out too because I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the band - they are my HEROES - and the lead singer is GORGEOUS - like in an out-of-this-world kind of way. When you really love a band it can sometimes become an obsession, a somewhat unhealthy one.. . I guess in the end, one might say that celebrities are put on a pedestal. I think other people forget that they are just..PEOPLE, like us, except of course the fact that they are usually ridiculously rich and famous. *shrugs*. Hope you had a good time at the concert!

It was a blast! I just don't think theres a reason to get obsessed with people like you or me, the only difference is their talent got noticed and our talents have not been noticed... Yeah I think a lot of people forget that they are just people, with better luck than the rest of us have. Thats it... I did have a great time thank you! =)

I'm glad that you had a good time. I guess with the fans it's because they look up to that person so much. They want to get to know the person to actually be a part of that person's life. It would be very scary though because for some reason people don't really think that they could actually hurt her, because of trying to get to her. I was hoping to take my husband to a concert this summer. I'm not sure though if it's all going to work out though. The seats that I know he would prefer are two hundred per person. Yikes! So I don't know if I will be able to pull that off. I was hoping that it would be more like seventy five per person. But I guess that was just wishful thinking. :)

I had a great time! I just think its silly because we will never be a part of their lives in any way. I think its a little crazy to have such ridiculous fantasies! I have to many real life things to think about that I cannot bother to worry about celebrities. Lol. We actually got a good deal on this concert. For good seats we paid $33 per ticket which is really cheap to see 3 people! Concerts must be more expensive by you. =( I hope you get to take him still.

I agree that we tend to forget that people are people, no matter how rich or famous. I do love Miranda Lambert though, and would love to see her in concert! I haven't been to a concert since I was 12 and we went to see Green Day- me and my brother and sister. We weren't allowed to go by ourselves so my dad went with us. It was pretty funny lol
