Hey guys, recently I have been feeling not so motivated about school and studying for exams, especially now it's the most important year since its my last year of high school. I do want to get good marks, but I feel like I am not motivated and I don't feel like doing work even though I am not lazy and I know there is a lot to go through. I know that most of you have already gone through this stage in your life so if you have any tips it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

Hi there Nameless, yess I have my friend and it wasnt easy but , the thing about loosing motivation sometimes is that the mind is tired, it is a simple call that the mind is saying stop breathe a little , so stop for a while relieve stress, watch TV go to the beach, play some video game or watch a movie, take the edge off then get perspective then you'll see things clearly and get back to work.

I really don't know how or how as to explain this! But I have a person in my life who is more than a friend and a lover (mind you he is not my boyfriend). He is someone who always, whenever I am down comes up to me and says "You promised me you would do it. You can't break it". And then I realize that no I can't let him down! So till date whatever I do I do for him. Maybe because he is the only person I have in my life and I don't want to loose him. But I have always found these promises leading me to be strong and motivated all the time. I know it feels odd, but yes that's how I stay motivated!

Many students get senior apathy. They want to goof off and skip class and all kinds of things. I am not sure what you need to do to get motivated to just finish what is there and get past it. Do it one day at a time, and reward yourself with wonderful breaks.

I set small goals within my big goals, and reward myself along the way. I have a big project due in a few weeks, i have it divided up into smaller chunks and reward myself each time i meet one of the smaller goals.

Cheer up, mate. There's a saying which I think it's is very good for you to stay motivated:- "If you don't like what you do, try to like why you're doing". I found out this is very useful to me. Maybe you can get some self-help books to read, or bibliography, I'm sure you'll be inspired and change your mind.

You need to think about the reasons that you need to finish High School and get good marks. What do you want to do when you finish? Do you want to go to college? If so, then it is important that you finish school and get good grades. Even if you just want to leave and get a job, it's still important because of the fact that you have to give a good impression to your employer. Your exams aren't going to last forever, but the grades will, so it is vital that you manage to get good grades which will have a good impression on you for the rest of your life for anybody who should happen to see those grades in the future.

There really are times like that... i suppose people get tired specially when they spend all their energy trying to stay overly focused on what they do. But at times like this, wr have to allot sometimeto unwind and relax. So by the time we need to focus back, our mind can already handle the stress and motivation wud sink in easily.

The best and perhaps most successful way is to just buckle down and do it. Shut yourself off from all emotions, from all fears, from all doubts, and just really buckle and do it to say the very least. The longer you put anything off, the longer you will stay unmotivated. And the harder that it is going to really get motivated right in the end. There were some tough moments during my school career, but when I came to the realization that this work had to be done eventually, so I might as well just get going and hopefully it will all turn out for the best. That stack of work can be rather intimidating more often than not. In fact, it can cause that lack of motivation but really one needs to buckle down and do your work.
