Now it's Davy Jones of the world infamous group, the Monkees who passes away, right after we just had Whitney expire. I'm so sad now I can't even think. I loved the Monkees and he was one of my faves, of the group. A massive heart attack, so sad. he will be so missed. Were you a fan? How do you feel about this?

I remember loving the Monkees years ago and wanting to watch their show every week, they were so cute and funny. I taped a special with them all as the topic on the History Channel the other month and am glad I never erased it.

I variy remember seeing them on the telly, but I don't think there music will ever die. Does anyone know how his heart attack was caused? Was it just natural, I do hope so

As far as I know it was natural. He does have a young wife so maybe she was too much for him.

I was shocked when I first heard about Davy Jones's passing. Even though I am a bit young and wasn't born at the height of their career, I still was a fan. When I was a tenager I remember watching the Monkee's television show on reruns on Mtv. Their music was light and fun, making me want to sing along. My thoughts are with his family now. He was too young.

Yes, they were very fun and light. I loved the way they just wanted to sing and make people laugh. Very young to die.

I was surprised too, and found out on Facebook again of all places. Many of my friends there posted about it so I knew it wasn't a hoax, then on the news they had it on too. I know he will be missed. I hate that we're losing a musical icon once again. I bet there will be alot of Monkees memoribilia out there that is worth more than it used to be. Sadly, i don't have any of it. :(

I am sadden as well. I loved Davy Jones and the Monkees. It is sad that we lost another great singer. The last thing I remember him acting is was the Brady Bunch movie. I was a fan of them as well. My condolences go out to his family and the rest of the group.

I watched Micky Dolenz do a TV interview a few days ago. He said he (Micky) was having nightmares for awhile before it happened. i wonder what they were about.

Yes that is very sad. I forgot to mention that to my husband before I left for work. That will make him sad. He has mentioned needing to go to different concerts because he never knows if something might happen to one of the members. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and fans. So sad life really is precious and it needs to be viewed as such.

Yea, some of the older singers are not really as well as we think, life is short even for them. Whitney Houston was young, no one saw it coming except maybe her closest friends if that. I think Davy had some heart issues he didn't like to talk about with the public, just guessing on that though.
