Way too hot, when I Did get the new kit to heat. It seemed like it was ready as I could see the "ready" stick. That and it hurt to pull the wax off myself, so forget it, I'll let it grow back some more and then go get it done. I guess I'll just have to keep up with this expense atleast twice a month. The things we do to look and feel pretty. So I paid maybe $5 or $6.00 but asking $3.50. Hoping I can get the buyer to meet me at my work, and if not I'll have to go a little further in but meh oh well.

.....and it looks so easy when the beautician does it. My brows grow as fast as the hair on my head does. Nails also. i think having mine done was about $5.

It does look so easy, they just put it on that stick, blow on it and apply it to your skin, then bam rip it off with that cloth. I guess I will just have to get it done professionally twice a month. Mine grow back in about two weeks or so, and look ridiculous. It looks ridiculous now and I've tweezed it some but it still looks bad. I don't have the money to spare for it so I guess I will just have to deal with it for a bit until I do have the money.

I do hate those tiny little hairs. And what did people do before wax was invented? Tweezers. Ouch!

I wonder if someone would actually buy it when it's used? Well, hopefully they will. It's too bad it didn't work out for you. I still think the best way to go is professionally - it only costs like $8 at your local nail salon/hair salon. I think it's worth paying a little more for. Some DIY things can really go very, very wrong. . I know this from my own DIY endeavors (at-home highlights = YIKES, for example). Good luck to you with that, though!

I've had them professionally done, and usually do it that way. It's $10 where I go, and so not that bad. I get both the eyebrows and lip done. I just thought if I could buy the kit, but even the kit is a small wax thing. I know there are bigger kits at beauty supply stores. I have two kits, one that I tried to heat and it didn't work and one that they sent me for free that I had to overheat, so one has never been used, though they do buy stuff like that used.

I go to nail salons, It's about that much for the spas around here (the fifty to eighty you spoke of). Now some aren't that good, I go to this one particular place because they are good.

I still say shaving is the best way to go. It doesn't hurt. It doesn't make more hair grow or any of those old wives tales. It doesn't burn. Unless you're either really uncoordinated and stab yourself or have super-sensitive skin. But even that can be adjusted for.

I hope you can find someone to buy it from you. I am hoping that the buyer will meet you at work so it will be easier for you. I know money is tight for you (and I am sure it is hard on a lot of people), but I am sure if you can find the money. I know I have given up a lot myself because money is so tight so I can understand what you are going through.

I used a group on facebook for a county about three minutes from my work. They want people to meet them IN the county, but since I am just on the edge maybe people will reconsider. Not sure if it will even sell, if it doesn't I guess I could give it to one of my sister's.

Yeah we do a lot to look pretty. We seem to spend a lot of money and cause pain in the process. But for the most part afterwards we do like the way we look. It's a good thing for us to want to look nice when we stop caring is when we should be worried.

Wow that sounds very painful not even sure if i could even pay for someone to do that to me. How much does it cost to have someone do that?

It varies by where you are and what kind of place you go to. I go to a nail salon and it costs me around $10. It is painful the first few times but then you just get used to it.

I'm glad you posted this...I wondered about those kind of waxing kits and have considered them myself. Some people really like them but I think I'll stick to the strips.
