Politicians and their lame excuses.

Politicians often give lame excuses to justify their misdeeds and we, the common people, rarely dare to raise our voice against those misdeeds. I am very much interested to know if they expect us to believe all those rubbish excuses. If yes, let me know whether or not they treat us as great idiots. If no, then why they do so by always giving lame excuses to justify their misdeeds?

I personally don't think that it is ethical that politicians will feed their constituents full of a bunch of lies as an attempt to get elected into office. That is actually the reason that I don't take part in very many elections because I know that those things that the politicians have promised to us will most likely never come to fruition. Now, if they were to start acting in a more ethical manner, then I would be more willing to exercise my right to vote.

Yes, frustrating really it is. Especially when politicians tend to blame the common people for their mistakes. That type of logic...really isn't that uncommon, but is still rather baffling. Especially considering the fact that major corporations have done the same things, where the actual underlings have been thrown under the bus, while the people from the top have made the decisions have rather gotten off rather free. Still the politicians and their excuses, not to mention their blame game is extremely galling when you think about it. There are just many times where a politician just feels like everyone is to blame, but themselves. Therefore it is just a never ending cycle of, who's fault it is. It does take a team effort to gain success and there is a team effort. The only way the common people can be blamed is voting them in the first place, but sadly most of them were the lesser of two evils.

Hi DoctorDidi, You are right in what you say here and it's important that people everywhere get educated as to what is really happening. There are crooked politicians in every countries and we have to weed them out. They treat the people who elected them and who are paying them as idiots. It's time for people everywhere to demand better from their elected leaders. There is one thing that they must remember of course - what goes around comes around - and it will be no different for them. Blessings.

We have all been taken for a ride all these years. The results in the just concluded assembly election have proved that electorates are becoming wise and cant be fooled any longer. They are least bothered about caste, religion and other insignificant issues. rather they would have development and growth

Honestly I think there are those radical people that are that truly stupid to believe in these politicians lies. I for one believe no one like that. I know they lie just to get elected. But, even though we have a voice, that does not always work. Government is like a see saw. When one party wins, things go one way and make some unhappy, when the other party wins, the same thing happens in reverse. Its a lose lose situation.

Lame excuses indeed. I lost my faith in them long ago. I used to be interested in politics and my ideals is for building a community not suffering from poverty and of injustices. But wherever place we may be, all politicians are the same. I do not think that all people in power have a noble mission and that is to help its citizen. They all have ulterior motives. Because they are in power they expect us to believe whatever they say. Well, some people do but not me. Right now, I am more focused on my own welfare. Politicians cant help you improve your life today. It must be us who will do the deed because some of them are busy planning each others downfall or getting rich themselves. They make the system yes, but will just have to make the best of that system.

The present day politician is in the game just to make money and it does not matter to him how he makes it.If you see the assets declared by them during election time you will see that most of them are crorepathies and three fourths are either uneducated or just a simple school passout. They may enter politics as paupers but in 3 to 4 years you find they have amassed great wealth and properties worth crores. All this at the expense of the public.Unfortunately in the present day scenario there is hardly any politician who is truly sincere and does what he has promised to the general public.Gone are the days of the statesmen who could not bear to see their character besmirched by scandals.Today you find thesecrooks smilimgly and unashamedly going to prison whenever they are caught doing the wrong thing, as though they have accomplished a great task. The people are today caught between the devil and the deep sea and find they have nowhere to turn.Every political party has a number of criminal elements standing for election with a number of cases against them in the courts. What is the common man to do in such a case?

We are really at their mercy. Believe in them or not. After certain ones let you know how do you know who to believe in. I don't believe in any of them and I no longer vote. Their lame excuses are just too much to put up with any more. I don't believe in any of them any more.

It works, doesn't it? They pull stupid stunts, give stupid excuses, then get reelected anyway. They don't even have to fool everyone with their excuses. Fooling the people who just don't care, or those who only get part of the story is enough. Why should they bother telling the truth when a bunch of nonsensical non-answers are enough to fool enough people to get them a majority? And besides, if all politicians pull the same kind of crap, then there's not much difference between the different choices people get to vote for. We get to choose between a lying jerk and another lying jerk. Yaaaay (sarcasm). I bet they know they don't need to be good people - they just need to make themselves look better than their competition. It's like that old saying: "If we both get chased by a bear, I don't need to outrun the bear. I just need to outrun you." That's also why they love attacking their opponents instead of actually trying to have good ideas and be good people. They're feeding their opponents to the bear. =x

If I remember correctly, one politician once said if a lie is repeated many times, over and over again, people will soon take the lie as the truth. In that case, it is understandable why they choose to give lame excuse (lie) rather than owe up to it.
