Nowadays one could find several shrewd persons in public life who are the villains of hypocrisy. They would play the hypocrite to perfection, keeping themselves in the dark of their real motives. They are actually wolves adorned in sheep's clothing. Ordinary people quite often fall a prey to their vile notions and get themselves trapped. It is quite important that one recognize the malefic intentions of these unscrupulous characters and be on guard against cheating and fraud.

We all need to be proactive and know what kind of scams and jerks are out there. it is up to us to be on our guard and ever vigulant. Innocense is nice but we really need to be aware of what is going on out there. Be sure to have people prove to us who they are trust only what we can see.

Oh yes! one has to keep vigil at the nuances of those who exhibit outwardly sincerity while hiding in secrecy their real motivations. Thanks for the response.

Oh yes I can agree with that. I guess it is the old adage, "buyer beware". How not to get trapped... As a Zen practitioner, I often see things, but am often accused of paranoia. Maybe I am, but it's not too bad being paranoid and safe!

Personally, I think I work with a lot of these type of people, and really wonder what their motives are. One of them even claims to be a Christian but many times some of the things she has said and done makes me really question all of it. I know that when it comes to judgement she is the first one to point a finger, even when she continues to do even worse. But hey, in the end it is Jesus who only counts. If people could look at themselves and not point fingers, etc. the world would truly be a lot better place.

That's why we shouldn't judge a book by its cover. There's no such thing as how you dress represent who you are to some people. They can be serial killer but wear clothes of salesman with fake smile that can fool you. It's scary to think how many dangerous people out there and we didn't even know they're bad.

I suppose in this sense I've been pretty lucky in my life because there have only been a couple of people that I've ever encountered that have been like this. However, those that have been like this have been people that have hurt me deeply and changed the person that I am in a lot of different ways.
Both of these people seemed like they really were friends, but ultimately, they ended up stealing from my family and myself and that is something that I'm not able to deal with too well.

I think you hit the nail on the head accurately when you said intentions. It is true we are human and often make mistakes. Who can say they have not thought of doing something wrong or deceptive in life for we are not perfect. Whether we carry our desires out or not remains in our laid out plans and to that intentions are such a key role.
True there are evil intentions we can adopt and we can be sick people when we think we have solutions but really we will be in a very dark place. The sheep covering can be a wish we have for a better existence or it can be an intentional misconception to mislead others. In the end we only fool ourselves.

Those who act as puritans hide their vile intentions. The poor lot would at a heavy risk of being cheated and hoodwinked by those shrewd men.
