In Denmark our neighbouring countries are Sweden, Norway, Germany and the UK. When I was a child we often visited Germany. Sometimes we went on a daytrip to Germany. We didn't go sightseeing in Germany we just went shopping. We also spent a week in Germany sometimes for instanse in Hamburg. When I was a child I visited Norway and Sweden with my parents, my aunt and my uncle and my cousins. Unfortunately I don't remember much from that trip, because I was just a small child. As an adult I visited Bergen in Norway and Stockholm in Sweden. In the 9th grade I visited the UK with my class. What are the names of your neighbouring countries? Did you visit them or would you like to visit them? Are there problems between your country and the neighbouring countries?

Our country is composed of several islands and islets, 7,107 to be exact. We normally just visit just other islands rather than visit neighboring countries because they are far and traveling to them can cost a fortune. There's also the visa and passport thing to accomplish and in our country it is not that easy, not that difficult either. I have always dream of traveling to many on the places in our country and in other countries as well. I do hope I get to fulfill this dream someday. I envy you for being able to experience the traveling so much while still so young and even until now. Our country has a long term problem with another neighboring country over ownership of an island that is near to the both. Our history claims that it is ours but there seems to be some conflict on this. I hope it gets settled, and of course I'm rooting for our country to win.

Which island is that? I would love to visit the Philippines and it is high up my travel wish list. There are so low cost airlines so maybe you could fly to Hong Kong, Singapore or Malaysia one day. Good luck.

Yes, there is a big difference between the cost of living, and some countries are expensive to visit. Some time ago my husband and I talked about visiting Switzerland. It is not so far from our country, but accomodation and everything else is so expensive in Switzerland that we can't afford to visit that country. The hostels are usually the cheapest option, but in Switzerland even the hostels are too expensive for us. Visa and passports are also things that we have to think about when we want to visit another country. I just got a new passport, but when I want to visit a country outside the European union I usually have to get a visa.

I can see on your profile that you are from the Philippines. I can imagine that is expensive to travel to other countries from the Philippines, because the other countries are quite far away. In my country it is easy to visit the neighboring countries, because we can drive from Denmark to Germany and drive from Denmark to Sweden. In the past we had to sail, but today there is a bridge between Denmark and Sweden. I hope to visit your country in the future, it is quite far from my own country and the plane ticket to Asia is expensive, but hopefully I will manage to save up the money one day.

first off, let me congratulate you in having a wonderful country. i worked in Skanderborg for 18 months and i loved my time there. lovely clean streets and great people. I live in Scotland and our neighbour is England. i worked there for 4 years and again througly enjoyed my time there. even though we are both members of the UK there are many different cultural differences, one of them being dialect! The only thing i can say is that i would reccomend to anyone to work outside of your birth country as you learn so much from other people and how they conduct themselves. I have been to many countries and have nothing but positive stories to tell about their people.

I am happy to hear that you liked my country. In the past I lived close to Skanderborg and I worked in a home health care team in Skanderborg. Skanderborg and Silkeborg are some of my favourite places on the peninsula, because of the lakes. It is interesting that you have worked in my country, I have also worked in your country! I had a summerjob in Bieldside in Scotland. I think that there many beautiful places in Scotland and I plan on returning one day. My husband has never been to Scotland and I want to show him the place where I worked as well as some of the other places that I visited when was I was in Scotland.

My home country is the United Kingdom and I live in the part that is called England. Others parts of the United Kingdom are Wales which I did my degree in, Scotland which I visited and Northern Ireland which I haven't ever been to. I have traveled to the Republic of Ireland though. When I was 20 years old I was made redundant from my office job in London. The IRA had bombs in London during that time. one man had the job of ringing all the departments to see if all the workers had arrived at work. He worried one might die due to an IRA bomb. One day I was thankfully running late and missed the London Victoria train. That day the IRA bombed the London Victoria train station. The thing I wish to see in Northern Ireland is the coastline and its famous Giants Causeway. I have traveled to other neighboring countries of France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Norway. Due to the United Kingdom being an island its neighbors are across the water. These days there is not anymore IRA bombing. In July 2005 a bomb was put on bus in London.

I remember the bomb in 2005, we heard about that on the news. Many Danes were worried because about visiting London around that time. It is scary that you could have been there when the IRA bombed the London Victoria train station, and I happy that you missed the train and avoided the danger. I don't know England that well. I have been to London a couple of times, but I would like to visit other parts of England as well for instanse Cornwall. I have lived in Bieldside in Scotland, I had a job there for a while and during my free time I visited other parts of Scotland. I have never been to Ireland, but I would like to go there one day.

That day of the bomb in London in 2005 I was traveling from where I live now to Kent. All trains were canceled. I managed to get a coach from Bristol to the airport then a friend gave me a lift in a car. I was lucky to get back safely. I was so lucky in 1991 that I didn't arrive in London Victoria at that time the IRA bomb went off. I always suggest people visit their neighboring countries. Once I visited a poor village in Indonesia. Just four hours from Singapore the local people hadn't been there. If a person lives in Australia he or she must travel by plane to New Zealand or Indonesia. Yes, Danes were nervous after the bomb in London in 2005.

I also think that it is good idea to visit the neighbouring countries. Many people from my country think it is boring to visit Germany or Sweden and they prefer to catch a plane to Australia or another country in the other end of the world, but I think that the neighbouring countries can be interesting as well. I have enjoyed my trips to the our neighbouring countries and I am happy that my parents showed me those countries in my childhood. The trips to the neighbouring countries are also less expensive, and it easier to visit countries close to our own country. Of course it is also very exciting to visit countries in other parts of the world and I think it is a good idea to do both.

I live in Chile and my neighbouring countries are Argentina, Perú and Bolivia. I have visited the capital of all of them and have also gone to Bariloche in Argentina. I feel very near their music and culture. I think that problems betwen countries have to do more with the people in power than with the whole population.

It is good to hear that you have visited your neighbour countries. Which country did you like the most? I have never been to South America, but there are many countries that I would like to visit one day. In addition to your country I would like to visit Peru, Argentina, Bolivia and Brazil and maybe Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela as well.

It was interesting to hear about the places in South America that you have visited. One of my classmates was from Chile and he told me about his country, but aside from that my knowledge about South America is limited. I have read about some of the countries, but I have never been to South America myself.

I cannot say which one I like best as every city I visited was different. Buenos Aires is very european, Lima still has some of the splendour of the times of the spaniards and La Paz has the colorfulness of the dresses of the aimaras, plus beautiful churches. I have also been to the capitals of Colombia and Venezuela and I have also been to Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo in Brasil. I would like to visit Quito, in Ecuador. I have herad it´s awesome.

My country, the Philippines, is a part of the so called ASEAN group (Association of South East Asian Nations). It is composed of 10 countries namely, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. As part of the group, resident of the member nations can travel to any member country without applying for a visa except for Myanmar. I only began traveling abroad when I was in college. My first international trip was in Thailand. As of now, I am only able to visit 6 out of the 9 neighboring member countries. To the north of the Philippines, there is Hongkong, Macau and Taiwan. Filipino residents can visit Hongkong and Macau without any visa. While Taiwan, you have to apply a visa if you don't have any valid Schengen, US, UK, Japan or Australian visa. I was able to visit the 3 countries as well. Thanks to the emergence of the budget airlines, travel to these neighboring countries has been made easy.

I didn't know that you were able to visit most of the South East Asian countries without a visa. That is great, that makes travelling a lot easier. We are able to do the same thing when we visit countries that belong to the European Union. I would like to visit the Philippies as well as all of the neighbour countries. Yes, budget airlines is a great thing. It is a still relatively expensive to get from Europe to Asia, so I prefer to visit more than one country when I go to Asia, but it is not so expensive to travel from one Asian country to another, and that is nice.

I really like Eastern Europe. In 2010 I visited Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia and Poland, and I liked all of those countries. I was especially excited about visiting Bulgaria and Romania, because that has been one of my dreams for a long time. In Bulgaria I visited Sofia and in Romania I visited Bucharest, Brasov and the Dracula castle in Bran. In Slovakia I visited Bratislava and I was very positively surpriced. I didn't know much about Slovakia, but I really liked Bratislava. In Poland I visited Kracow and Poznan, it was not my first visit to Poland, but it was still interesting to visit the country.

I live in the Philippines. I have never tried visiting my neighboring countries yet. I am planning to when I have a stable job since I am still studying right now and don't have the money yet to afford traveling. Anyway, my neighboring countries are Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and other Asian countries. I am really excited to be able to visit these places soon. With regards to problems, issues or conflict of my country to another, yes, there is. I may point out about the Spratly Islands issue because a lot of neighboring countries are claiming it. Philippines is one of the claimants.

As a student it is not easy to afford travelling. I hope that you will get the chance to visit your neighbouring countries when you get a job and have more money to spend on travelling Travelling is always interesting, and I am excited about the countries that I am going to visit the future. I live in Europe and so far I have visited countries within Europe, but my next destination will be Asia and I really look forward to that.

I have been to London a couple of times, but I am sure that there many other interesting places to visit in the UK. I think that there are many beautiful places in Scandinavia. I think that Norway is beautiful and I also like Stockholm a lot. In Denmark most tourists visit Copenhagen, but there are other interesting places as well.

I am in Pakistan, we have china, india, afganistan and iran in our neighborhood and i have not visited any of them due to visa restrictions. we have only good relations with China and Iran. The other 2 countries India and Afghanistan are considered as enemy states so its not easy to visit them. I am interested in visiting Scandinavian countries first of all, if i ever got a chance. I think you are a lucky person that you are living there.

I have not visited any of your neighbour countries either, they are all quite far away from my country, but the biggest is problem is the visa requirements. I can't visit any of those countries without a visa, and that makes things more complicated, but I would be interested in visiting India and China. I hope that you will get the chance to visit the Scandinavian countries one day. I think that Norway is especially beautiful, but I also like Sweden and of course my own country (Denmark)

China is a big countries with 15 neighbor countries on land. But unfortunately, I have visited none of them. In China, we have a tradition that not leaving home when your parents are still alive. So in the past, most of people even do not go out of their village in their whole life. Now things changed a lot, young people have to go out to earn money to support themselves. But still few of them have the chance to visit other countries. In most cases, the government do not want you do abroad. For if people here know how people in other countries lead their lives, they will not go back to China again.

I didn't know that China had so many neighbour countries. I haven't visited China and any of your neighbour countries. I would like to visit your country in the future. I have to get a visa to enter China, but I hope that it isn't too hard to a visa. I would like to visit Beijing, Shanghai and many other places. One of my friend has visited China and she enjoyed her visit a lot and she has told me about the places she has seen etc. She likes your country and wants to return one day.

Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei are some of the neighbors of my country Philippines. I haven't been to this country yet but I am sure it must be a good experience to explore these places. Thailand is is somehow close to the Philippines as well and been there to one part of the country and I will say " the place is beautiful". It is in Phuket. The beaches, the food and the people are very cool. Hong Kong is considered as Philippine neighbor as well as it is only more 1 hour travel by plane and this city is pretty cool as well because of its high buildings, nature, sub-way and more scene to view. Wish to visit some of the other places one day...

I would like to visit the Philippines and all of your neighbour countries. Unfortuneately they are all quite far away from my country, but I am saving up for a trip to Asia. I have heard about Phuket in Thailand and seen some pictures, it looks like a really beautiful place. I am also interested in visiting Hong Kong. I would be able to do that without a visa if I only stay for a short time and that makes travelling much easier.

I think that both Europe and Asia are interesting places to visit. I live in Europe and I have had the chance to visit many of the other European countries. My next dream is a trip to Asia. I plan on visiting Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam this year or next year if I don't have enough money this year. I have never been to Asia before, so I really look forward to visiting those countries. Later on I hope to visit other countries in Asia. You mentioned Japan and Nepal I am interested in those countries, too. I hope to visit them one day, but it will take a while before I have enough money to visit all the countries in Asia that I want to visit.
