hi mylot friends, In the month of January ,I have accompany to my brothers son to Tirumala , I do not have any thought of walking Tirumala, even I have intention to visit once again Tirumala by walking, due to my age and according to my health , i along with my brothers son Akhil walked to Tirumala from Tirupathi, instead of regular Alipiri route,we have decided to walk up to Tirumala through new route via Srivari mettu, near Srinivasa mangapuram, the distance between Srivari mettu to Srinivasa Mangapuram is nearly 4 kms, The TTD devasthanam is arranging free buses to Tirupathi Railway sation to Srivari mettu, there are 2400 steps to reach Tirumala from Srivari Mettu , In Alipiri route there are 4000 steps and 5 kms road we have to reach Tirumala, before starting the walking on the steps, I have prayed god ,he will took me to his Tirumala hills or directly to him,if I cannot reach Tirumala due to my age and health, but at every 50 steps, I took rest of five minutes and continued the walking over the steps, It took me approximately two hand half hours time to reach the Tirumala , thank god that I have reached safely Tirumala and I have not feel any inconvenience means knee pains some thing some thing, after Darshan of Balaji ,we returned back to my place the same night itself, after 35 year I have climbed the Tirumala hills by walking, so that is in my fate that I have to visit Tirumala by walking, so I have completed it

Hi sreedhar, It is great to know that you have managed to do what you intended to do.I am reminded of my own visit in 2002 when many of us went to Tirupathy and Tirumala.A few of us walked all the way up and it was a nice experience.I am not religious and I visited Tirumala just to see and experience it.It is a beautiful place up there and we saw the waterfalls and other spots of interest and I found that even more interesting since the temple is nothing but a commercial business proposition with no time for human devotion - you are pushed around like cattle once you are inside the temple...
