Hi people.. I used to wash the plates or any food container that I used every time I'm done eating. At home, my mother or younger sister used to wash the dishes every meal but there are instances that two younger brothers do the chores.Like now, my mother is already asleep and my younger sister is readying to sleep now so there is no available to do the chore. So I decided and said to my two younger brothers that one of them should do it.Well as expected, both of them don't like the idea lol.We do a little jack en poy games and the as usual, the youngest in our siblings lost again and unfortunately the one who will wash the dishes. Me, I hate washing the dishes too,I rather cook the meal rather than washing the dishes. But if there is no available to do so,I probably take charge the chore. Do hate washing the dishes too or don't have choice to refuse washing it... Have a peaceful eve to everyone..

Hello my friend. In our house, it is only me and my mother. Somehow I want to help her in the household chores by washing the dishes. It is just an easy task and need not to exert an effort. Anyhow, my mother always tells me to wash the plate every after I eat. But I admit that I also get lazy washing it and turned out that it will be my mother who will be doing the chore.

Thank you my friend. Oh, you are so many in the family. That must be fun. Yes, we have to get used to washing our own dishes and don't depend on others. Even with other chores. We need not to be told first. We have to do it.

I don't know with washing the dishes but if the maid is out for her day off every weekends, I end up washing the dishes. hahaha... My mom will cook. My dad will prepare the utensils and my siblings will clean the table and sweep the floor after eating. Though I have no complain because in the wash area there is a tv where I can watch while washing the dishes.

You have a maid? :| I'm so jealous haha :p. I don't have a tv on the kitchen, but I don't think one would help me enjoy cleaning dishes more, its so wet and cold. I should get a maid too :).

I'm jealous too hehe.Washing the dishes is part of our growing up in the family. It is one of the ways that our parents thought us how to be responsible and initiative in doing things.

i hate getting wet while doing the dishes. If I could, i would totally ignore the chore altogether. But I'm an only child, and most of the chores would end up being my responsibility anyway! Like cooking rice, setting the table, doind the dishes, cleaning up after and making sure the leftovers are stashed in the fridge. I don't think it taught me anything except how to properly do the dishes and accept it as a part of life.

Yeah we wanted to ignore it sometimes but still do it cause our parents teach us to be responsible enough to do things like that.

Washing the dishes is one household chore i like, unlike you my friend. At home, after dinner, i am the dish washer, since we have no maid to do it. Sometimes though, i don't eat dinner anymore, since i am still full from my snacks at the office. But i would always tell my in-laws to just leave their used dishes so i would wash it after watching my soap. When my husband arrives from work and i am done with the washing, i would just leave his used dishes on the basin by the sink and wash them in the morning. I love washing dishes, because of the cool water. As it touches my hands and seeing the plates so clean and glistening as i put it on the drainer, makes me feel refreshed. However, what i don't like is eliminating the leftovers on the plates. Hence, my MIL takes care of them . [em]lol[/em

Hello! I have a 15 year old son who hates washing dishes. I tell him to make sure he washes his dish after every meal when he use a dish. I hate washing dishes, but, I can't stand a pile of dirty dishes in the sink. I will go get him when he puts one plate in the sink. but, I would go ahead and wash dishes even if they are sleep just to make sure everthing is clean. Have a blessed day!

My mother also can't stand our sink with full of dirty plates so she always take charge if no one want to do it.But if I'm in the house, as the second to the eldest which is already married,I always command and makes sure that one of my younger brothers will wash it

hi there, honestly, i like washing the dishes, well just as long as i am in the mood like when i am not in good terms with my parents, then i am not doing anything, nothing for them. just whatever work there is i like it just as long as there is no pressure.

Hello :). I don't think there's anything kitchen related that I hate more than washing the dishes. It leaves your hands cold, it's a hassle and it's boring. You just move your hands in circles like the guy from karate kid washing his car :p. I live alone though, so I have to clean them myself. What I do though is I wait till I have no more clean dishes to use and then wash them all together. That way I save soap, water and time. I also avoid getting bored too frequently too :D.

We took turns when it comes to this chore. But most of the time, it ends up always with the youngest. He has no choice no matter how he wants to rant :p

We took turns too before when we are only three siblings but as we grow older and added three little brothers, usually it just my mother or my three younger brothers take the turn if who is available and also due to some of us have work now.
