The best subject for a blog or website?

Hy there mylotters.I was thinking in the last month to start a website or a blog.First of all because i wish to have one as a hobby,second of all because i wish to try to earn a little from this.i know that many people win some extra money from blogs or sites so i want to try my luck.i believe is better to make my own site then writting for other sites which don't have a guarantee that what i will write will not be taken and used by others as their own creation.
i am going to be a vet so i was thinking to write about pet caring and medical issues.
my hobbies are traveling,cooking,books movies and art so i was considering also this as a subject.
what i wanted to ask you is what subject do you think a blog or website should have to get a good traffic?
and my second question is how exactly can you increase the earnings through a blog or website?
i saw that many mylotters have experience so i am asking your help.

Traffic is not based on the subject of the blog or website. it depends upon how well you publish your blog or website. use SEO techniques to increase the trafiic to your blog or website.

It doesn't matter what the subject is. As long as you have passion to write about that subject, keep updating your blog with good and quality contents, the visitor may comes naturally.
Don't give up easily at the beginning. In the first two or three months, you may see that there are lacks of people visiting your blogs. Don't give up and keep writing. Meanwhile you can tell your friends about you blog, do blogwalkings, exchanging links, etc.
And the earning?
It will goes up along with the increasing of your blog visitors.

i don't really expect to earn from the beginning because i know that is hard make some money from a blog as a beginner.the main reson for which i wanna start a blog is because i like the ideea of writing about what i like or know.the earnings are on second plan.

I think there are some topics that will always be really popular. I think any blog on weight loss will do quite well as people are always wanting to lose weight. I also think anything how to stay young looking or making yourself look younger would do great as well. People also love articles on saving money. I think you will do well with a pet themed one as people really do love their pets and always like to know good ways of taking care of them. Best of luck to you if you start one.

You can start any topic but make sure the topic should be one interest in a single blog. For example, you can write about finance, so keep that subject in one blog. Do not mix it with other intereset. Update your blog everyday. Don't leave it inactive for more than a week. Register your blog to search engine. Each post should be more than 350 words with rich keywords in it. Leave comments of the same interest with your URL as your signature. If your blog is about traveling, find other sites that write about traveling. Give comments on their posts. There are still other tips that maybe mentioned by other mylotters here.

Internet Marketing is best topic. But yes as all are saying that any topic suit the best. But mostly try to choose the recent topic. Get it from news channel why dont you use plr articles for your blogs its easy to use and you can earn fast money.

Hi I am a newbie here in MyLot. Anyway with regards to you question, the first tip I could give you is you should write something you have passion with, something you love. I have read your hobbies and I think those are good topics. Once you already found your topic is where the SEO techniques come in. It takes some time maybe a week, a month, or a year to build up your rank just be patient and make use of the free tools on the net. Remember that is your blog. One thing I have noticed is that you should make friends with other bloggers since they can also share or give you some traffic. Hope it helps... :D

Like you, I am also new to blogging. Mine was a blog of random things. It didn't have a general category. But I heard to make your blog have more visits, you need to build good sentences or phrases that is effective for searches or Search Engines. :-)

writing and making a blog is not too simple as it is. you will be needing a focus and dedicated time to do and work out for it. however, if you have the passion and heart to what you would like to do, you can do it perfectly eventually.
in creating a blog, it is necessary to identify your niche. thru this, you can easily drop down some topics for you to start on.

You need to write about things that interest you, that you know a lot about and about stuff that you can keep writing about for years if your blog becomes a success. So without knowing you, I can't say what that would be for you, but I've heard someone say that if you can't think of 20 posts you could write about a specific subject straight away, it's not a good topic, because then how is the rest going to happen?
So try to think about it: Can you easily write 20 posts about any of these topics, and then keep writing about it for years afterwards? If so, there's your topic! If not, keep looking!

yes for me is very important to enjoy what i am doing.i don't like to do something just for the money because it kills my nerves slowly.
