i know a lot of people watch american idol and everyone has their own opinion about each person so i was interested in hearing everyones views on the way it is going so far. the last girl standing i can see why she was there because all of her performances were not perfect but the last song she sang i believe was very good. i feel she picked a great song and she sang it very well :) at the point of watching the show i felt they should have saved her but after more thought i can see that they are saving it til close to the end when there is 1 person who just stands out and they cant let them go :) what are your thoughts?? ALSO what do you think about the guy with the warrents? do you think they handled it well? i am not sure it should have be taped and publicised like that. i feel they could have let him go and then announced for "personal reasons" he was let go...

just based on last performance night alone, shannon wasn't the worst of the pack but unfortunately every week, one has to get booted off the competition. and because the judge can only use one "save" for the entire season... they are likely to save it for a later date when a better and stronger idol contestant is in jeopardy of leaving the stage. i hope that this season, it's a face-off between the girls this time. the way the supposedly gentle giant was let go, well wasn't that gentle at all. in face of the media, everything can be blown up to disproportionate proportions. anyone entering AI knows that everything about them could be made public. i doubt that the warrants can be kept secret at all. however i wished that they just announced it and not made it too publicized.

i agree she wasnt the worst out of the group but i didnt see her making it to the very end anyways and yes to bad someone HAS to go home. it would be GREAT to see the girls competing for the top because latelt only boys are winning. i like country music so i am really liking skyler but she like many of the rest has had her ups and downs in her performances. very true about it all being made public plus it could have been in a contract that we wouldnt know of. or they paid him so they could air that conversation. we will never really know what happened and why they were able to air that on the show but i believe there was a better way they could have gone about that.

i'm rooting for a skylar-jessica face-off, but my top four also includes colton and phillip. but at the end of the day, it's the votes that count.

jessica has a great voice also :) i think if it is down to the girls that will be the 2 that are left but i still think i would have to vote for skylar but the competition isnt over yet i could still change my mind lol. colton and phillip have great voices. i am glad that the judges "made" colton try out this year and it would be really kool to see him win since in the beginning he didnt even want ot try out again. i will say that i feel the judges favorite him sometimes but may be i am seeing it all wrong. phillip is what you call diffrent but different in a good way. i guess if it came down to these 2 i would have to choose colton tho. what about you if it came down to the face off with the girls :) who would you choose out of the 2 you listed there? ok how bout the boys who would you choose? yes in the end all that matters is the votes that "america" sends in to tell them who they like more and who will win.

The judges are reserving the save to either Skylar and Jessica. We have the most talented females this batch but females are being decimated for a reason. Long are the days of Kelly Clarkson,Fantasia Barrino, and Carrie Underwood. Eversince Idol have text votes the majority voters are little girls 8 to 16 years old. These girls dont care about female contestants regardless of their talent. They only vote for the cute guy with a Guitar. The producer of Idol admitted it them selves and promises to do changes to the rules but they didnt. They planned that the text votes will be 1 vote for phone, so the tween girls cannot cheat the system by voting hundreds of times but they realized the profit they will lost. According to the producers most adult audience of Idol votes only onces. while young girls votes hundreds of times.

females stopped winning ever since they have text votes. when its just phone and online it was more fair. I think an outrage after erica's elimination , may make people declare a war againts the army of teengirl voters. I think some of those girl voters arenot even teens yet. I think Heejun's fanbase though is more of the Asian community but a lot of them converted their support for Jessica.

yes i agree that those 2 are the ones that every little girl dreams about haha i also believe that the judges save it for a girl because they are so out numbered by the votes. i did not know that tho about the twitter followers...not real sure why Heejun has that many but i guess people like diffrent things. me i am not liking him very much but that is just my opinion.... until you mentioned it i hadnt noticed all the "sexy" females are gone early but now that you mention it i agree they really are. it is realy wrong how that worked out tho because some of the female really are good and because the "little girls" are voting they dont stand a chance. they had a bunch or females win year after year until lately it has just been males. now last year it was a male and a female in those last 2 spots at the top....i havent really heard much about the voice and what they do on it but i have heard many people switched to it. in my opinion i think there should be 2 winners on american idol. 1 male and 1 female that way it is kind of even and both (male and female) have a chance. i think it would be a better show that way :)

yes i agree they are reserving it for someone but i also believe they might be holding it for colton just on the simple fact that they made him try-out again because they like him so much and i think they used the wild card on him earlier in the show. there is s really good batch of talented females but there still are a few good males in the batch. i didnt really look at it this way lol but you are right i am sure there are many little girls voting for the guy they think is HOT and not for the way they sing or perform. but i guess you cant choose who votes or how they vote but may be making an age limit on who voted would help but they would just get their parents to do it for them lol really? i did not know that.....i mean i only vote 1 time but i know a few people who vote 1 time each way you can (text,by phone, and online) and like you said there are others who vote hundreds of times and i am not sure i find that very fair to the contestants. it should b 1 vote per person but i guess like you said they lose to much profit out of doin it that way.

i don't think they handled the situation with Jermaine Jones very well at all. they shouldn't of had it televisied. if they wanted him off the show, they should have done it in private and explained the reason he had to get off the show. i don't think he Should have been let go. he explained that he did circle he had a past criminal record and they DID do a background check on him prior to his being on the show. he should be there. he had one of the best voices on the show. the question about the judges save. i don't think they should have that at all. it isn't very to the other contestants at all. i still watch the show but i do have these kind of gripes....

i agree they could have handled it very well. like my neighbor said may be they paid him for that to be televised for their ratings. but in my opinion ratings are not that important. it has nothing to do with all of us veiwers. he did have a pretty good voice i really wanted the fayetteville boy tho. i wasnt so impressed with him at first so when they brought him back i was kind of mad but as the competition progressed i became more attached to him. he picked some great songs that go well with voice :) i never thought about it like that but i do agree. it is suppose to be up to "AMERICA" and when the judges can choose who to "save" i do not feel that it is really up to us. if we wanted to send that person home it wsa because we didnt really like them so there for the other contestants should have the opportunity to go to the top. i guess they have their rules and we cant change them but i understand where you are coming from and i actually agree with you that it isnt fair to the others who we all liked :)

I've only seen this show a few times and it was way back when they first started out. A friend of mine keeps telling me that I need to watch it. I first need to figure out when it's on and what channel. I have recently watched some clips on youtube. didn't see t he save but did see the one where they booted the kid because of warrants. I agree...private matter and should not have been aired.

Oh yes..that helps. I can channel surf and find it I'm sure. I see that they have new judges and after watching a few clips, I think these newer judges seem more sensitive and thoughtful at least. What I did not like before when I watched it was what I thought was unnecessary meanness and humiliation of the ones that didn't measure up. You can offer up constructive and honest critisism without being cruel. I think maybe I'll tune in tomorrow night. I'll have to search Jermaine to hear his music. Yes, you would think that they would do the back ground check first. No need to damage the guys image for what could be something really stupid.

kool glad i could help :) hope you are able ot find it :) yes there are new judges. simon is gone and he was very mean at times but if you have seen some of the older shows with somon as the judge then it really isnt the same. i think it is a little better now because yes at times the judges now can still be mean but at the same time thye try to give "constructive critisism". i would hate to have the judges bash me while i am on stage with all my friends and family watching. i think you might like to hear Jermaine perfrom you may like him (guess it all depends on the music you like) but i am not sure he would have ever made it to the very end but with a little work i think we could have seen him again sometime in the future....now that they publicized all that about the warrents he may never have the chance again to show what he is made of....

yes you should watch it again hahaha it has been a good show with a lot of talent this year. it is on channel 13 on my tv with the cable boxes and on my grandmas tv it is channel 8 with direct tv (not sure if that will help u any..) it is on wed. and thur. nights at 8:00 pm est not sure about the times for other places but i think it is still on at 8:00 no matter where you live :) "the gentle giant" (the one with the warrants in case you dont know because you havent seen many of them) he had a good voice on some somgs he sang and i feel like they should have known that before the show aired. i mean they have to do some kind of back ground check before they can completely go on the show...atleast you would have thought...it could have been handled way diffrently i can think of a few ways they could have let him go and airing to the millions of people watching IS NOT one of them lol

Hi crazzydolphin, I watched Idol last Thursday and have been watching every episode before that up to here as well. I think that the judges have been so unfairly judging that girl for the past few or so weeks, it's obvious they want a few of the other girls to win. I mean, her performances were all not that bad. I like JeeHun, he is at times alittle funny. However, I don't believe he is Idol material. He is always pitchy and the only reason he is on there is cause of something I won't say (in my opinion). I couldn't believe he was still going to go on tour and she was not. Both are not my top favorites either, so it's nothing to do with favortism or who is cuter/funnier or not. There is just something about this show that I think is fixed sometimes. The way they handled Jermaine is something they had to do, he had active warrants as early as last Novemeber for goodness sake. How can he go on a show like that thinking they would never find out. I think he had a wonderful voice though, and could have come close to winning. Hopefully he can get his life straightened ouot eventually and then go back to singing, somewhere. Now the other day someone posted on FB that they are trying to get Colton Dixon to stop tweeting and FBing about his religious beliefs, they say it is hindering his chances of winning. To me that is just crazy, what does someone's religious beliefs have to do with the show? That is like telling someone whose gay to stop being gay for the show, just crazy, they are over doing things. If anything if people find out he is a good person and believes in God, they will HELP him, not harm him. And, i didn't get Steven's critique of him last week either, he was clearly very good and Steven said it wasn't the right song for him??! It was exactly the right song, what is this old fizzled out rocker on anyways? (I used to be a huge fan but after this I'm not so sure anymore!)

OOps, I forgot to answer your question, of all thing, and no I don't think they should have used the save, unfortunately it is too soon in the contest. Bad luck for her. I feel bad for her that she left and the two that should have went home are still there. I didn't particular care for Elise's performances the last few weeks, they were worse than Shannon's!

Also, I see the judges using (not the word I really wanna use) the save on someone like HeeJun or maybe even Josh. They won't with Colton, it will probably already be used up by then.

honestly i am not interested in JeeHun. there are some songs that he can sing and they sound great he does have a good voice but at the same time there were plenty of songs that he has chosen and they definately were not the song for him. also i think that may be he has a lot of growing up to do before he is truely ready for something like this. he is very funny but to be in a business like this you have to be a lot more mature. like you said i do not think he is "idol material". if i had to choose i think he should have gone before Shannon did but that is just my opinion. i also think sometimes that the show is "fixed" and they already know who is going to win even before we cast our votes. i have seen that a lot of people will like 1 person a lot and then all of a sudden they are being sent home. but here once again i can not be sure but it is a thought. I did not know that about Colton but i also do not understand why that would have anything to do about his chances of winning unless he is upsetting a lot of people with what he says. i mean that could have a big impact on how people will vote but it is his right to say what he wants about any thing and they shouldnt have the right to change it or ask him to stop. this year on idol is way diffrent than most that i have heard about (this is the 1st full season i have watched). it does keep it interesting but it isnt the american idol i am use to..he did sing great and i was impressed lol. my husband is rooting for him to win it all. but i have a feeling ur right by the time its his turn to need the save it will probly already be gone they seem to use them to early. i like skyler she has something about her voice and she knows how to perform i have voted a few times for her but i am still undecided on who i am really wanting to go for. ill choose closer to the end haha yes it is very soon in the competition and there is a lot of great talent that is on the stage :) i knew it was going to be hard but wasnt sure itd b this hard haha

I am taking a class on thursday nights so i am unable to watch thursday nights. But my family does watch on wed nights and we always vote. To me i think that they should have not have recorded and published Jermain like they did. He told them that he didnt want to be judged by the things that he had done in his past. That is why he didnt tell them at the beginning. I dont think that they should have done that at all. Even if they did record it they should not have published it. I will be done with my class in 2 more weeks then i start another one but not sure what night that one is on so maybe ill be free for american idol.

Yea they could have left it out of the show that way and just mentioned it verbally without showing him being in the room with the two men and conversing about it but at least he gave his reason for not telling them, about not wanting to be judged for his past, even if his past troubles were including just last November.

@JDAW -- to bad you miss the thursday shows that is the ones where they choose who gets to stay but i thnk after a whle it will just be on wednesday. may be when there s less people on there. i guess the whole situation on how they let hm go was just wrong all together in my opinion. may be he was paid off for this to be aired and that would give him the extra money to pay off those warrents. i guess we will never really know what went on behind closed doors. they will only show you waht they want you to see.... @NAILTECH -- yes atleast he explained himself and atleast they gave him a chance to but it should have been done privately. like i said ^above^ may be that paid him to be able to air that...i am not sure i can blame him for not wanting to tell them but he also should have been honest from the start may be they could have worked something out if he was honest up front.

I wasn't impressed with Shannon Magrane's rendition of Mariah CareyBoyz II Men's One Sweet Day, and somehow I knew that she will be in the bottom 3 even when the judges gave her positive comments. She just isn't as good as the others. I agree with the judges' decision not to save her. I was shocked about the boy with the warrants (Jermaine Jones?). It's sad coz he's such a talented guy. But AI has it's rules and should be respected. I've just seen on TV that he's planning to audition for The Voice and X-Factor.

that is a great opinion :) i do agree that there are others people that are way better than her. i will say that its possibly with some lesons or training or something we could possibly see her again. yes that was very shocking. i did not know he was going to try out for other things that is good that he didnt just give up :) he really id very talented i wasnt so sure of him before but i am sad this happened and he took the spot of the other 3 that had a chance to come back for their chance to win. yes they do have their rules but yu would have thought they would check all that before they pick everyone to go on in the competition...

I think it was too early for the American Idol judges to use the "save" for Shannon. She was not exceptionally good with her performances except the last. While watching the show, I felt, the judges agreed with the choices for the bottom 3. There are some very exceptional talents this season and the judges might just be waiting to use the save once they find someone more worth it. With Jermaine Jones, they should just have let him go silently from the show though he must have been paid a good amount for delving into his privacy. I wonder what other issues would be coming out soon.

yes this year has had many twists and turns and i am curious as to what might happen in the future shows. i guess only time will tell lol. i am sure he was paid a good amount but of course they dont show that part haha. i agree Shannon was good on the last song but she didnt really stand out on most of the other songs she sang and they need people that are consistant.

I also thought the girl that received the "boot" last night sang her song beautifully but I don't think she has the potential that some of the others have. That being said, I'm glad the judges didn't use the SAVE. I didn't see the show where the guy was kicked off for having warrants. I think they probably made an example of him because they want future contests to be honest about having something like a criminal record. It's just easier to know about things like that up front.

that is a very good point. she did sing very well and thinking back i agree i think some of the other people have the potinetial to go farther than her. it is not to say that we will not see her again sometime but she will need a little practice. yes they could have used him as an example. my neighbor thinks they paid him for that taped interview for the ratings. i am not sure how it actually went down and no one but the people involved will. a lot of people are upset that this happened because he is the guy that they brought back. i was hoping they would have brought back the boy from fayetteville but instead it was him and then he gets kicked off because of warrants....yes its way better and easier on everyone to know up front and be honest from the start :) this years american idol has had many twists and turns but it has kept it interesting :) this will be the 1st season i have seen it from beginning to end so i am ecited to see how it turns out :)

I think the judges made the right decision in not saving her. Because I think they have this fear about having a judge-favorite Pia Toscano debacle last season wherein they couldn't save her. So they are opting to 'save' their save for a favorite. And I think they should have just let Jermaine go quietly. I am not crazy with them making the confrontation/drama on national tv. It was embarrassing and awkward for everyone.

that is a very good point. i didnt watch it last year but my neighbor told me about how they wanted to save someone so bad because they were good and there was nothing they could do but to let her go. i also agree they are holding out. i think they favorite colten (i think that is his name it is the boy the basically MADE try-out because he was there last year and was sent home). my neighbor had a great point she thinks they paid him to air that conversation for the ratings of the show. i really think they could have done it diffrently. if it was me in his position i would not like that to be aired to millions of people that is a personal issue that has nothing to do with everyone that watches the show!

Everyone has their own opinion about each person. Foy you, you might have felt that the contestant you were voting for deserves a better chance. I guess that goes too for most audiences. Every one of us believes our “idol” is the best. However, we cannot put the blame on the judges for whatever they did. They must have had a very valid reason for doing so.

that is a very good point. i know that everyone likes who they like and in their opinion they should win it all and that is of course not always the case. i think that the judges out to much of their personal opinions out there when it gets farther in the show. i think that since it is america that chooses that they should try and hold back some so that they do not influence the votes any. but at the same time Joshua was the favorite and didnt make it to the top 2 so maybe their thoughts have nothing to do with the way the votes go.
