Hey there people, Just this morning i went for my regular run, It seems that there are more people jogging today compared to the other days. I know most of the people either by acquaintance or by face but there were a lot that i dont know. Its not that it is weird or anything, it just makes you wanna strive harder so that you can be in good shape and then also show others that with hard work they can get to be in the right shape. Lets all stay healthy.

hi deodavid and shirley as a long time diabetic I cannot help but stress giw wise it is to walk or jogg a lot and to keep your'weight within good bounds. so many think just eating candy makes p eople get diabetes. no its the overall fat gain some call middle agespread but this spread is what slows down or evebn stops the insulin in ones body from getting the glucose into our muscles so'it ends up where it does not belong in our bloood.tyupe twos are usually quite overweight and often couch potatoes. gettign weight off and keeping it off in middle age will save a lot of people frome diabetes even if you have it running in your f a mily.'if you are fairly slim and active your chances of getting diabetes are almost nil.

Hi there shirley, Yepp i did feel like that before practically all of the time, i was just terribly unhappy of how I looked and felt so i just started to try to loose weight, but it was kinda also an epiphany for me because then i also realized that this will help me avoid the serious diseases that i might have inherited from my family. Both have history of diabetes and heart problems not to exclude cancer so I guess this is not only a lifestyle kinda change for me but also a health thing, come on lets get into shape!

Yes, I also jog sometimes and it really helps a lot to job in a place where there are lots of people doing the same thing. It just makes you comfortable with what you are doing. There are times when I get shy that I am jogging in the park for some reasons, I like it when there are others like me jogging as well.

Hi there bhonti, For me there is this kind of feeling that you belong when you are doing something and it kinda makes you feel secured that if you do this particular thing in this kind of a place you wont look odd and out of place, so it really feels great to do it amongst others that are doing the same thing as you are and unknowingly those people just running around you make them your competition by out jogging them. It is great because either you out jog them or not they wouldn't know it is a competition and youll just be beaten by your ambition and keep the loosing record to yourself. Thanks bhonti.

I envy you my friend because you have time to go for a run. Because of my job, which makes me arrive from work at 7pm onwards everyday now, i just don't have the time to have an exercise. In the morning, i have to hurry in preparing breakfast and myself to work. Most of all, i have to have at least 7 hours of sleep, so i can't wake up early just to exercise. On the second thought, my additional assignment on my job now, requires me to go up and down the 2nd , where my office is and on the 3rd floor, where my boss' office is. That alone is an exercise already.

Hi there sipmlyd, Good job that is the best way to exercise, if you don't have the time find other ways, your time is hectic and the schedule can no longer allow you to do so but the fact that you are trying and mentally into getting fit in whatever way possible that is exercise already. Let us all try our best may it be going to the gym or just climbing stairs, did you know that if you climb 4 floors you can burn 125 calories a day. Take care now.

See, i have just newly met you here, but you are motivating me to go on with my alternative exercise. Yes, i know that going up and down the stairs would indeed help us burn calories. In fact, because i go up and down that stairs at least 10 times a day (as the guard have counted) , i am already down to 121 lbs. from my 125 lbs. that i gained over the Christmas holidays.

Great choice of topic. I LOVE going for a run and even though there are so many demands on one's time...I MAKE the time to run. I just feel so good, happy and energized when I run. It is beneficial for mental, physical and emotional health. I have also noted that more people are out and running or walking. That makes me very hopeful for all us. It is a vital habit to build. Personally, I love running with music playing through my earphones. Usually dance music, then I feel like I am flying. Hahaha. Keep it up and yes, let us all embrace health and remain healthy.

yes, running together with others will help us persevere, no matter whether they are acquaintances or strangers. We tend to quit if we run alone.

Hi there mylchenke, yepp it kinda makes you push your self not to be lazy and go home, or try to run one more lap, or even compete with a fast paced runner. Am not really that great yet in running and am not very fast or have long stamina but some days you just feel like you can outrun anybody and sometimes and old timer passes you by but no worries as long as you hit your goal for that specific day it is all good i assume.

hi deodavid I do e nvy you as walking and running are both so healthy and are good ways to keep from becoming a diabetic or having heart trouble too. I am a long time diabetic and I regret that I did not do a lot of walking and jogging in my forties to keep my weight down.contrary to so many's beliefs type one diabetes is not got by just eating sweets, it come from people letting themselves become inactive and quite overweight.too much fat causes the insulin that carries the sugar to our muscles to not get there at all but stay in our blood.exercise for us diabetics is also a must to control our blood sugar and lose the weight we need to lose.I am glad that seeing new people also running gives you more inspiration to stay fit.remember type two d iabetes is most often c caused by being too fat and inactive.

Hey there Hatley, Well i am working my self so that maybe somehow i can fight nature both the sides of my family have diabetes history and you don't need history to get DM2 since you can cause that by not working out regularly and not being on some kind of good diet, anyway we are still alive and i think as long as we are we can try to get fit right Hatley, take care always.

If you wanna lose weight, you won't go wrong jogging for at least 30 minutes every morning. I used to jog until we moved. We used to live in a nice neighborhood where you can jog in the morning without cars you can get slammed on. Now, we live in a neighborhood where people are already awake 2am in the morning. I couldn't jog anymore but I make it up by doing weight training (more on endurance training), and sparring (boxing). I didn't wanna lose the cardio that I've gained before from boxing that's why I stuck with it. I do almost the same routine everyday, and I've altered some of it to avoid consistency, which is, I think, bad for calorie loss.

Well to be fair, people still feel the need to exercise, but they don't have the money to have a gym membership, that is not a necessary item right in their budget. So there are just going to be times where they are going to go for a nice job, a nice walk, run, whatever you want to have it. It is rather nice to see that people who really seeing the benefits of this rather free and simple form of exercise that is great. I do notice many of the same people as I go on my morning walks. Either walking, jogging, or even riding their bikes. I think more people are appreciating that this is really just going to be the best form of exercise. It is going to be something that is going to allow people to really get some measure of exercise and it is going to cause them to live a healthier, and fuller life. I really enjoy the opportunities of this type of exercise.

and megamatt you will never have to worry about g etting type 2 diabetes as you will not be overweight or out of shape. contrary to popular beliefs you do not get diabetes solely from eating candy ,instead its an overall fat gain and just plain being couch potatoes that cause middle aged people to get type two diabetes.

Hey there megamatt, I do understand what you mean because gym time will cost you extra and life is already expensive as it is, so if there is pavement or even dirt as long as it is a place where you can run then we just go there and save the money and save our health which is our best resource second to our wits.

It’s very true. Seeing more people jogging kind of gives u more morale for waking up the next day to jog, or even jog an extra mile. Staying in shape is very important although many people take it for granted.

Hey there, Well i do think that some people really have no time for the workout because of there busy schedules but maybe if they just really try hard enough they can make time because if you come to think about it if you loose your health then most likely you will have a hard time earning money and loose more to cure yourself.
