Oh sometimes our kids are just too funny. My one and a half year old is watching Sesame street for the first time. I do not usually allow the T.V. on in our house before 5 p.m. but she is very sick and the Doctor told me to keep her laying down for a few days no running around because her lungs need to rest. Any way I put on Sesame Street for her. They are singing about bumble bees and she is shaking her little tushy like the bumble bees and trying to buzz. Her older sister (six) is doing it to in front of the TV completely sucked into the tube (why it usually isn't on by the way). They crack me up sometimes.

I haven't watched Sesame Street for years. I have watched it along with three kids. It is such a cute show. So imaginative. I miss some of the characters they have on it. She could do alot worse.

Are you talking about Barney, the purple dinosaur? There was a song going around about getting rid of him. Never heard one about Elmo though. He was always so loved.

On the Internet there are all sorts of songs about these character! I grew up watching Sesame Street and was in shock when I turned it on to find so many different characters..lol We didn't watch with my second and third girls because my second was terrified of Cookie Monster and the talking food. She would have night mares of going to eat food and it biting her back. Poor kid it wasn't until this one we even started turning it back on

This is such a fun age! We avoid the television too, but once in awhile when they are sick or to see a specific program can't hurt.

It's nice to leave it as a treat, makes a day feel special with something as simple as turning the T.V. on early..lol

hi opinionatedLady they soumnd so cute and funny both of them pretending to be bumble bees. love it.I like the idea that they are not going to be couch potatoes in later life like so many who spend most of the day watching it no matter what is on, I am sorry your little one and a half yr old is so sick, and hope she is well soon. Oh she is so young to be so sick. hope she get well really fast now.Sesame street to me is a winner specially with Kermit the frog.

Kermit seems to be the big winner with people! Yes she has a virus that causes strep like spots but the spots are in her throat, lungs, face and various other places on her body. The ones in her throat make her not really eat and the ones in her lungs make her wheeze. The meds are helping though.

Kids are really that cute. I have educational dc's at home with rhyming songs which they watch every morning and they would sing and sing and sing...and they would dance. Yes they are God's little wonderful creatures.

That sounds funny. Little one's can certainly make us feel good. Lil Keith was playing with his singing dog earlier and singing along with it. It was quite cute.

Love when they sing and you hear the words they think they are hearing!

Kids are really funny sometimes. It is a good idea to let him watch a tv so he will get well soon, so he gets so alive and enthusiastic. Good thing that her sister played with her. I hope he is okay now. Feed him foods that are rich in carbohydrates and protein, fruits and drink milk to regenerate his immune system and rehydrated.
