Who snores? How do you stop snoring?

My boyfriend is a huge snorer- it actually runs in his family and he just snores all the time when he sleeps and he knows it too. He's shy to sleep in public like when he travels cause he knows he will snore SO loud it would interrupt people and perhaps someone might even post him up on Youtube (LOL). He has tried so many methods to stop snoring but it doesn't work. How do you cure snoring, do you have any home remedies or suggestions? Do you have to deal with a spouse who snores? How do you deal with it? I am happy I don't snore..

well, i searched net for this a while back when i was facing a similar situation. I came across one remedy which might help a little. Ask your Boyfriend to inhale lukewarm water with a pinch of salt just before he sleeps. It helped me a little . May be you can also try.

hi, actually i cant sleep if there is someone who snores especially when they are beside me,as a remedy told with my grandfather, with the help of toothpick, he said try to sleep having with toothpick in the mouth, and coz of that a person will practice to keep his/her mouth close and reduce snoring.

Hi Good idea but i have a doubt what happens if the guy swallows the tooth pick ? then it may turn in to danger for the guy himself.

My ex used to snore so loud, I slept on the couch a lot. I wore earplugs to bed, and still couldn't stand the noise. He would get mad and even said he didn't snore, because he had never heard it. He would go with some other guys for the weekend and everyone said he snored loud so it wasn't just me. He was overweight until he had triple bypass surgery. After that he lost a lot of weight and stopped snoring. As the weight started to come back, so did the snoring.

i noticed that my hubby only snores when he is drunk or tired from work. when he snores i kick him slightly in his legs or sometimes i spank(LOL) him. i can't sleep well if someone snores esp. if he/she sleeps with me.

My husband snores too. At first, i had a hard time sleeping. But when i read about it, it helps when you let them sleep on their side rather that sleep on the normal position. Sleeping on their side helps their breathing. Hope this helps.

My boyfriend snores, but I don't mind it because I'm used to hearing things while I am sleeping. My mother screams in her sleep, my step-father use to snore like a roaring engine, and my brother used to snore too. My cats all purr in their sleep and boy can they be loud. I also live next to a street and the railroad tracks. If I am in an area where there is no noise at all, then I can't sleep because I feel that something isn't right. You could try nasal sprays or Breathe Rights.

They sell nasal strips I believe at stores. I think it's basically that you aren't breathing out of your nose. Maybe from allergies, or whatever. Allergy medicine could help maybe, then too. I'm not sure how to completely get rid of snoring. I know a lot of people who snore "logs" - soooo bad! I hate having sleep-overs with them because their snoring always wakes me up . I don't think I snore, from what I have heard (I guess I wouldn't really know, because I am asleep and unconscious while doing it) but I have had people tell me I talk in my sleep...

There are several nasal strips and mouth guard products you can use. I also snore a whole lot and have a lot of the same problems as your boyfriend, especially the fear of public sleeping (I hate nighttime plane flights now). I've also heard that sleeping on your side can help fix snoring problems because sleeping on your back can screw up the air flow.

hi there, i don't snore hehehe so does my boyfriend snoring is actually a common sleep disorder especially to those people who are overweight. you can bring him to the doctor because there might be a problem. usually, people don't take this seriously, they don't know that there could be a problem like an obstruction blockage in the back of the throat. A change of life style may also help to reduce snoring. Eating a healthy diet and taking regular exercise will help lose any excess weight and simple measures like sleeping on the stomach or using a sleep pillow to slightly raise the head may also reduce the snoring. i hope this helps.

I am a big snorer and I have to say what happened once when I woke myself up because of the eco noise. This was one of the funniest things that happened to me. My girlfriend seems ok with my snores, but other people might make fun of me while I am sleeping. The only time I didn't snore was when I had an operation, the removal of the polyps, so I guess that is the only way.
